I got a feeling we will take Sanders and Schoenmaker, Schoenmaker to me seems like a JT prospect and Sanders will probably be best at our first pick.

Looking through that the one that really interested me was Sean Darcy. With Gawn nearing the end and assuming we have a bit of cap space wouldn't mind having a crack.

Time to get with the times, stop wasting good cap space on a ruckman.

I’m not sure how they rate Verrall as a ruck prospect. But Fullarton is no doubt a forward who can chop out. I’m sure he could ruck a full game here and there. But I’d be looking at someone like Sam Hayes or Lycett as a rookie. If Gawn went down long term they would fill a spot.
Didn't we give Lycett a physical? Then decided not to trade for him. I thought I read that somewhere?

What a waste of time imo, if Gawn goes down we'd have to completely change how we play anyway. No one replaces him so may aswell find someone more mobile who can add something else rather than just chucking in one of the worst rucks in the league to replace him

I’ll agree to disagree. I just think we need an actual ruck who can come in. Unless of course they rate Fullarton to do that job. No one would expect we replace Gawn like for like.

Of course they do that's why we got him. A 32 year old Scott Lycett would be extremely pointless. He's already struggling to play now let alone next year

Lycett legit walks from ruck contest to contest. Bloke plays footy like he's auditioning for a roadwork job. Give the man a shovel to lean on.

I kinda feel Fullarton is more a forward/ruck. At least that’s what his been for Lions reserves.
Yeah because he's trying to get a game. Lycett at 32 and cooked isn't going to be some upgrade that wins and loses games better than Fullerton

Not sure the point of keeping pick swaps open after trade period.

Seems **** all teams care anyway or trade picks during this window.

Most relevant list managers probably have ****ed off to Bali by now anyway and swapping picks will be the last thing on there minds.

The whole system is ****ing stupid. WC should be able to take Reid, then we should be able to take Curtin at 6 and then negotiate with each other. That deal could actually get done if WC knew they could get Curtin

Question on your first 2 picks. Since the North were gifted pick 3, it placed you guys 1 off the top 5 where I see a gap. Would you support trading 6 and 11 up to 3? You would then have your choice of Duursma, Watson or Sanders (I am assuming McKercher goes at 2). I don’t see Caddy or Curtain as a priority for you. I can see O’Sullivan as a Lever replacement.

I don’t see a gap between 5 and 6. The talent from 2-10 looks even depending on what type of player you want. Not worth giving up 11 (Windsor or Wilson) to move 3 spots up in the draft.

He is, but honestly I don't think that matters.

Can ruck a full game if required, or split it 70/30 with Tomlinson, JVR, TMac or whatever other tall we have on the day.

Can never replace Max so just chuck Fullarton in there and give him some support from the plodders like Tomo and TMac (if he plays).

Why do we need a ruck? You can win games while losing every single hit out. None of the guys available are doing what Max can around the ground. Such a waste of a list spot.
