Pretty sure you're 90% already there after their finals performance.

Didnt even care about the finals performances, they could have finished 12th and id still have enjoyed watching them more than I do us.

I do have to ask if we needed to give up those two picks to move up to get Throstup. Could’ve had those picks available to trade back in to the late teens or early 20s
A question absolutely worth asking, although we didn't need those picks that trade always felt expensive, looks like it was part of a bigger plan that never eventuated

Fairly uninspiring draft for us in the end, Thought we might pull something stupid and give away our F1 to snap up Duursma. Bit of a meh kinda vibe. Hoping we use next years first rounder and the 2025 F1 to snap up a gun forward. Oliver and Petty watch could add to the haul as well if both look for a change. Walter looks like a manchild. Adelaide nailed the Curtin pick. Crows v Giants GF coming up. Both are bloody exciting lists. Suns not far behind.

Yeah, thats two years in a row we've offered a fortune to move up and been knocked back. Maybe teams are wary of trading with us coz when we have done it in the past we've won those trades pretty easily.

I'd say it was to give us a crack at Reid. Was a rough shy at the stumps. We were never using those picks anyway, and the depth of this draft is a big meh. Could have swapped them out for futures, but I like that we had a crack at Reid.

Definitely, I assumed we had something sorted.

In hindsight could’ve just traded them into next year if we didn’t want to use them this year.

Yeh we basically pioneered mortgaging future picks year on year but seems everyone's figured out that game now, may need new tactics going forward

Geez the Curtin trade was a weird one on paper...surely you'd prefer to take West Coast future first?

"The Crows gave the Giants Picks 11, 15 and a future second-rounder, while giving the Crows Picks 8 and 17"

...suppose it worked out alright with the Giants getting Leake at 15 (17 with bids in front of them)

dude, you haven't even seen Curtin play.

No-one knows who is the right pick until many years down the track.

Feels like there were a lot of players with potentially high ceilings in this draft and we’ve gone more for a couple of ‘surer things’.
Could be, we are in our "premiership window" for at least another couple of years while we have May and Gawn, we may have been looking for guys who are more likely to be in the mix at some point next year rather than projects or taller players who usually take longer to develop

Yep agree and picking for needs. Footskills and F50 impact. Club is obviously still happy with the back half and balling winning ability. McAdam, Billings, Windsor and Tholstrup all offer assistance to scoring more from our inside 50s

With a bit of time to think about it, I’m going with shithouse. Shit trading, shit selections and typically MFC fart sniffing arrogance. Poo, farts, shit and MFC.
