On a side note, has anybody noticed that Jeff White's son Kalani White who was destined to be selected as a father son prospect in the future with the Dees is now a Suns Academy player? How tf did this happen? If I was against the Suns Academy concept before, this takes it to another level now.

Doesn't mean he goes to the Suns, just developing him there as he lives in QLD.

Mate he's been living up in QLD for years. Since he was a little kid. He's zoned to Gold Coast purely because of where he is living.

Father son rule gets first preference over Academy. So if he nominates the Dees which he will, then the footy club will have first preference to White.

Didn't think he was actually looking like he was going to get drafted anyway? Pretty sure he hasn't been among the top players in his state level QLD team, and they usually only have a handful each draft. Could still come on fast as a pretty big guy, but not taking the AFL world by storm.

Nah, made the under 16s AA team as the CHB. Pretty much a monty to get drafted unless something goes terribly wrong.

it seems like we decided to go and get two good running types that also know how to hit the scoreboard, which is fair enough, it's an area where we've fallen a fair bit behind a team like the Pies.
hopefully it also signals from us a bit more of a run and gun gamestyle for next year.

He definitely wants to play with Melbourne, just taking advantage of the development process in Qld, no need to worry

AFL should disclose any live pick offers put on the table during the draft clock.

Would make things that 1% more interesting opposed to us having to see interviews of pick 37s cousins uncles brothers gardener.

Even if the offer isn’t accepted, still takes the viewers on the journey of what’s really happening.

There are several F/S players who went through the academy system and still went to their Dads club.

dude, you preferred Liam Henry and Brodie Kemp over Weightman and Hayden Young. Epic fail. It's well and good to think you're the next Cal Twomey but maybe go and watch some games first.

The fact that you think that you can make such strong assumptions on players based on mock drafts and youtube clips is embarassing in itself. If you could do this then why does our recruiting team even bother to go to any games?
