Can’t see any need for Mannagh …

I would add

Cuningham
Cottrell
E.Hollands

to the above five. That makes 8 players who can play HF/FP. We don't lack for depth in this role. What we lack(atm) is one or two of them being high AFL level. If we think Mannagh is more of a chance to be that than what we've got, then we've wasted 8 list spots basically.

Pre Orazio and Elijah, there may have been a case for another non 18yo depth HF, but surely not now. We've just signed Orazio and Elijah, so we're obviously gonna give them a chance if possible. If we give them a chance, how are we gonna give Mannagh a chance?..We can't.

Wouldn't be surprised if we were looking more closey at Mannagh prior to signing Fantasia. We obviously want someone in that FP / HF role that can step straight into the 22.

Also, wouldn't be surprised if we went harder at Fantasia, after finding out Schultz was signing with the Pies. Reckon he would have been our big target next year, if he had remained at Freo as an UFA.

Taking Mannagh to fill the present need with a late pick, then going hard at Schultz next year would have been a good plan A.

Is there any chance this could become a reality on draft night with Leake and Windsor rising up the board?
( I have taken out the academy picks)
1. WC Reid
2. Nth Mckercher
3. Nth Duursma
4. Haw Curtin
5. WB Sanders
6. Mel Leake
7. GWS Windsor
8. Car Watson
Assuming Geelong don't want a player here and would prefer multiple hits we could still do a deal with them and snag Watson. I think dogs could look to bolster the midfield if they think Smith is leaving and all of Libba, MacRae and Treloar are hitting the ends of their careers.

All the talk is WB traded up specifically for Watson

I can't see Geelong being interested in trading #8 - what do we have to offer? F1 and pick #22?

If you were Geelong's list manager, would you take what CFC has to offer?

Wil Graham from Gippy Power could be a good big KPD option. Can ruck and switch forward also.

Taylor Goad from SA is a modern day ruck prospect. Covers the ground like a midfielder and has great hands.
Are you meaning Wil Dawson? Will Graham is a Gold Coast mid (a very good one).

Nup, the ITK from their board are talking Sanders. Watson a smokescreen by some. “Your guy” can absolutely slide.
Don't venture over there too often to know but if true I think its a mistake by their list team. Watson provides an immediate upgrade in a list hole for them and with Bont getting close to 30 they'd be aiming to have another crack at a flag or two.

I could see in certain circumstances you would do that deal, F1, 22 and 28. They may not be inspired by the players in that range. They may want to grab some more peripheral types they really like in the 20's range whilst having two firsts next year to grab a player like Bailey Smith. There is also the upside for them that our F1 may not be in the 15-18 range and closer to 10-12 range, progression is not always linear although I really hope it is for us next year!
It could end up being 22, 28 and 12(2024) for 8 this year and a future 3rd, cats could definitely jump at that.

Thoughts on a Taylor Goad for our 2nd.

High upside prospect. Ruck height but Key back potential

I mentioned him half a dozen posts prior to yours. He’s a unique athlete and can repeat sprint, oh, and he’s a biiiiig unit that can catch the footy. I like him a lot. Id prefer Archer Reid for the same role, but reckon he’ll be gone, but Goad could be something.
