$550 each, food + alcohol provided and cat 1 seats. Hopefully BT would have tv stuff to do, I didn’t know he’d be an option when I booked 😅

I'd want at least $550 compensation for enduring BT...

I got standing tickets.. never had these before. Can anyone enlighten me? Do you get uninterrupted view of the game? Or are you crammed in an area that's hard to view the game?

sold out.. this is what shits me though. as you can guarantee that only 95kish fans are there. if the MCC was smart that would allow members who are perhaps away or just not interested in going to sell their ticket back. the Member he sells the ticket get's a discount on their memebership renewal the next year, the catering groups sell extra food and you get an extra 5 thousand people at the game

Get there early

I’ve found the view is often better than ground level seats - and it’s also very handy for drink and/or food outlets … and a quick exit if necessary.

Thanks! Do you have people standing in front or behind you? Or is it designated so you are packed in a crowd of people?

I had standing room for the 79, 81, and 82 grand finals

(terrible victor)

The view was unimpeded and the noise incredible

Like a few said, just get there early and piss out a spot up against the rail. Tag team to get drinks/food/drinks.

It's awesome if we're winning AND if the punters around you good sports (win or lose). It can be extremely funny sometimes. Man! ... some bloke have the loudest of voices. I doubt there will be many GWS (if any) standing so you'll be amongst the faithful.

GO PIES!

I got in alright but tried to get 3 Tix together but no luck, in other news I spotted Bigfoot.
We did that last week. Tried for 3 tickets together and best we could do was level 4 DD right at the back. This week we decided every man for himself. One got 2A P27, one got Q23 row E and l got Q17 row T.
Sitting together with friends may be a thing of the past:(

As full AFL members with Collingwood club support, if we make the GF we get first crack at tickets and if Brisbane get there, we should get good seats together.

I wasn’t given any indication of numbers before me in the queue.

Also, no obvious sign of glitching. When my mate got on he faced exactly the same situation, and now logging in again it says nothing available except general admission. Not going to make the kids stand for 3 hours.
Would you be massively surprised if it was glitchy. I got on the app and browser at about 8.57a.m and was lucky to be in and out by 9.19a.m. Not sure how any supposed "queue" works as I obviously was in the "queue" after you

Problem is they’ll always allow for plenty of walk up seating. Even for massive games.
So you just don’t know how many will turn up.
They seem to resist moving to fully ticketing big games like the AFL do.
Reality is, they should fully ticket, stop the nonsense queuing up so early. And if tickets don’t sell in an allotted time, open it to provisional members.

The stresses...

M34 Row C for me and a few friends
M18 Row BB for my dad and his friend
Then somewhere in the gods for my membershipless friend who hit me up late

First time in the Ponsford since the 2018 GF

I don’t think the problem is the walk up seating. It’s people who reserve a seat just in case and decide on the day not to go. They pay very little so the barrier to that is much lower than those of us paying $100-$200 for our seats. The real solution is to just get rid of those memberships for posh daddies’ boys and tell people to support their own clubs instead but that’ll never happen. Just one of the many ways cricket is a parasite on footy and its drawing power.

AFL members only pay $28 but they’ll turn up.
They barely release any for ticketing. Just look at the queues outside their gate.
