Imagine getting double ups against 3 bottom 4 sides and still complaining.

There are aspects that are good (such as 3 bottom 6 sides) but we should be playing someone like Port or Carlton twice instead of Geelong.

I assume that cause Ballarat is not that far away from the SA border, the AFL decide just to fixture The Crows there almost every year against The Dogs when they are scheduled to play in Victoria

Actually I’m not surprised they didn’t schedule our Ballarat and Geelong games back to back and throw in a camp and make it a bit of team bonding. Sheesh!

Brutal for Essendon both on and off the field.

Double ups against Geelong, Collingwood, Port, WC, GWS and North

7 x Sunday, 6 x Saturday, 1 x Tuesday

5 home games in the first 15 rounds (4 on a Sunday, 1 Sat night)
1 home game in both May and June (the June game being Sunday twilight v North)

Season will likely be over after this stretch between R5-15

Melbourne (AO)
Collingwood
Geelong
Port (A)
Brisbane (A)
Richmond
West Coast (A)
North
Carlton
Bye
Fremantle (A)

4-10 after Round 15 would be generous. Round 16 v Port at the MCG could be a watch for some low crowd records. Will almost certainly be Essendon lowest home average in decades outside of Covid-affected years.
It's a tough run but if Essendon are good they'll be 4-0 after 4 games 4-10 after round 15 would just show Essendon are no good.

Even on last year's form and given off season changes you'd probably go in favourites 4 times in the first 15 rounds (Hawthorn, GC at home, GWS at home and North).

Then there's competitive games against West Coast away and Stkilda.

If Essendon are good enough to compete for finals then they win at least 5 out of those 6 and nab another couple of wins as outsiders.

That puts you 7-7 or better with a pretty nice run home.

Shit-ven Worst Media at their piss-poor best as usual.

Despite plenty of time to do it, the full fixture is not in the Sunday Times, only listing the two WA teams.

For some bizarre reason, they expect you to wait until Monday and buy the Worst Australian for a printed version of the full fixture - pity for them everyone has downloaded it or read it before then.

I predicted last week that there would be melts once Carlton's fixture was revealed :)

Our draw isn't as mint as it seems though we don't get to play North or our Bunnies Essendon twice next season..

I bet Cookie and the numbers crunchers at Carlton love the extremely revenue friendly prime time fixtures, could possibly boost our growing coffers by well over a million !!!

Not expecting much next season regardless but if we're playing Geelong in Gather Round hopefully it means we skip having to go to Kardinia later on.

Also its equal parts humorous and sad that they predictably throw a GC vs Fremantle game on a Friday afternoon where no one will likely watch.
Well I live in Adelaide.

So I am going to both dockers games in rounds 4 and 5

Yeah it is a major issue, there is a massive advantage playing home vs away look no further then our repeat games against Adelaide last year there was an 80 point difference between the results depending on the state it was played in.

Thoughts on where the Grand Final should be played?
