It's like winning a HiLux and finding out the neighbours won Lamborghinis though. You've got two players that aren't just gun kids, the are guns of the competition for free. Daicos stats...

Ashcroft in his first season is 3rd in the AFL for contested possessions, 10th intercepts, 8th in clearances, 3rd in stoppage clearance etc. Absolute beast not just a promising kid.

I think this is the key point - it is an outrageous gift to get a F/S at pick 2 when you played in the prelim the year before. Throw in the pick trading shenanigans you can do and it gave us the ability to go get Dunkley and still pick up two top 12 draft picks. Its wiped us out of next year's draft but who cares! Collingwood stuffed it a bit by trading away their future first and then sucking, they would have been able to get heaps more if they held onto it.

On another issue I've been loving watching Phillipou, noticed him a heap in the national champs last year and very much enjoying that at this early stage looks like another Dodoro genius move to pass this guy up.

My issue is with the picks trading system, equating a heap of later picks to an early.
Daicos was worth pick 4.
The system should require that they give up their first round pick either this year or next year.
If they don't have a first round pick, well bad luck, you knew he was coming .

The current system lets them double dip. You can trade your first round pick for a player worth a first round pick AND get a first round pick player.
Do you think Fremantle would have accepted a handful of fourth and third round picks for Brad Hill. The whole points system is just fundamentally wrong.

North Melbourne - Carlton not on Kayo? Can't see it listed?
If you scroll down for half an hour eventually you’ll get to the live channels and you can go straight to fox footy. It’s the worst app.

This Carlton side reminds me of the Weagles when they were good a few seasons ago. Very aerially focused, lots of marks, and a strong midfield to go with it.

I prefer our style of play, but should be a good game in a few weeks time when we get them at Marvel.

Disgraceful free to Hollands

Gather, take 2 steps, get tackled, umpire thinks never took possession to begin with.

Everyone in that match is blind, it must be all the blue floating around making everyone think they're drunk and seeing blurred vision.

Blokes dumber than a bag of hammers.

Would deadset die of starvation at a stop sign, because it didn’t tell him to go again.
