I was meaning more about how Fly doesn't hide any inclusions during his Tuesday gig at SEN. Meaning I seriously doubt Murphy will play
I don't think he'll play either, but I don't see a mind game benefit to it.

I don’t think anyone thinks Murphy will actually play this week

the excitement comes more from the fact that he’ll only miss 1 week. Which given Geelong most likely won’t have Hawkins and we can bring in Frampton isn’t a huge issue

Sooo, Macrae & Carmy back this week, which is good for options in upcoming weeks.

Murph (thank goodness) & Kelly should play next week.

Longer term, Naics, I'm predicting, first final; & Deany, first game - 2024.

Great for our VFL side too. We really want them playing finals so that we have match-fit players to call upon for AFL-level finals if needed.

Pendlebury standing tall after broken leg

In fairness I think he’s had multiple breaks but this one in the 2009 finals is what I was thinking of.
Ah. The one I was thinking of was actually 2012

I just remembered it was a year we were competing for a flag and that it was against Gold Coast so had to be 2011 at the earliest.

It's crazy that he's had multiple breaks (including a finger at least twice and a leg bone at least twice) but has had virtually no soft tissue injuries in his career.

So after seeing the update I was thinking that our wildcard for 2024 could be Dean. He could possibly take the Howe spot and allow Howie to become a utility for the rest of his career. Back, wing and forward. Dean had some great hype about him prior to us getting him, he’s been forgotten lately but you just never know what 2024 will bring.

Good preparation can cut down the chances of soft tissue but not much can be done about bones. I can’t think of any preventable injury at all that he’s had. He had a finger tendon one too but that’s pretty hard to stop also.

I'd still personally give him the week off to freshen up and be 100% sure but kinda amazing that he seems basically fine after how it looked on Saturday

This video is not convincing to me, more click bait than fact.
.
Murphy might be running, but its not at "Top Speed" and he's very cautious changing direction.

So I agree an extra week is the sensible approach.
