Rioli, Boak, Sinn and Lord cleared.

Forward Jeremy Finlayson has returned to full training to push his selection claims following syndesmosis repair surgery last month.

Midfielders Trent Dumont and Jackson Mead have been sidelined recently with respective calf and hamstring injuries but will both return to training tomorrow and be assessed as the week progresses.

Injury list
Trent Dumont – calf (assess)
Jeremy Finlayson – syndesmosis (assess)
Jackson Mead – hamstring (assess)
Believe it when I see them all on the park.

Hopefully Sinn plays this weekend.

It's one thing to have them all fit, it's another to have them match fit and in form.

We will only be competitive if Butters, Boak, Dixon and Wines among others are hardened and ready to hit the ground running on Saturday. If those returning from injury go through the motions the way they did against Freo, then we will be belted.

So sinn is still alive?

Wines knee not too concerned about. How many decent players would have similar issues with injuries, once you get to wines age playing footy it would be rare not be managing something and pulling up sore after games. Some probably pull up sore after training.

After experiencing ongoing symptoms from a collision occurring during a pre-season match in Perth, Boak underwent further follow-up imaging, which confirmed a rib fracture.

The 34-year-old also sustained a lung contusion from the incident, so will sit out Round 1 to progress his recovery.

aahahaha the old "scans cleared boak of any damage" to "further scans showed a rib fracture and a lung contusion"

That isn't how it works. He was diagnosed with both those things the first time around.

What is the motivation to lie lmao. Oh yeah, the oppo were totally planning around 34 year old ball burner Travis Boak. We really inconvenienced them there!

Wouldn't a fractured rib be at least a month out of the game?

Yeah 4-6 weeks, can't see him playing till round 3-4. All my past rib injuries (I've had a few as a tall guy copping bumps in the rib cage from smaller players) have personally taken the full 6 weeks to heal.

Was a bad one too, in this contested game of AFL too, I can't see how he'd be playing till he's fully right.

I mean, really, do we need to rush him back?

Let him take the time off to fully heal. Get games into the next rung. We'll likely even do better without him.
