That's rather simplistic thinking!

We are not going to want both ruckman on our list when we have glaring holes elsewhere.

This is all a pipe dream because Grundy doesn't want to come to the Crows & ROB doesn't want to leave.

I wouldn't go after Grundy, too expensive. We should look for a ruck like Kieran Briggs. They're out there.

No thanks. This seems like "his one good game he played was against us trade". They did the same in the midseason draft with that Glenelg hack that lasted at the club 6 months.

haha, remember that time when we dropped ROB because he needed to go back to the SANFL for a solid few weeks to find form again..

and he went back, dominated, and kicked a few goals and marked everything that came near him..

so we bought him straight back into the AFL side the very next week (against Geelong I think?) and he went straight back to spudding it up!..

Ahhh, the memories!.. this club.

From memory I thought he was originally considered a key defender. Seem he has been playing forward for Collingwood VFL. Sounds like a back up KPD option.
Will be interesting to see what we give up (if true that is). Will it be more than what Collingwood gave for Billy?

so he’s behind Billy?… cant get a game in the AFL 22 for the Pies cause BIG BUSTLING BILLY is in front of him.

we shouldve just held on to Billy if we’re going to go for a bloke that can’t even get an AFL call up before Billy does!

maybe they will trade Billy back to us..

have they just stuck a list of VFL playing KPD names on a dart board and they’re randomly chucking darts at it?

how about we just trade in some new list managers and talent identifiers?.. will that maybe help?

I assume he went to Collingwood on a 2 year deal. If he isn't being offered a new deal by Collingwood and is okay to come on a 1 year contract then it might be okay.

Whoever we target should only be for depth anyway, Butts, Keane and Worrell will be our first choice key defenders next year until Murray is back. If we did pick up Krueger he would only be selected if we get injuries.

I would rather someone like him than giving up our first rounder for an experienced key back.

True.. but that doesnt negate my point does it.. if we are gonna bring in a constantly injured hack that cant even get a game in front of Billy Frampton.. then we might as well of held onto Frampton as depth..

its just bewildering list management..

surely we can find something better than that though?.. hell.. why dont we simply give Jack Madgen a rookie spot for 12 months if thats all we’re looking for.. just some “break glass” emergency depth..
