I said to myself at the end of last season that Serong was a lock for my Supercoach team this season.
After reading this thread, I hate myself.

Just do it. Supercoach is always more fun when you have a couple PODs. I started Tim Kelly a couple years ago and it was a rollercoaster ride. Andy Brayshaw last year paid off for me early on when he double tonned and I had him as captain.

Yeah im sticking with him, think he will be the next Neale eventually.

I’m a full supporter of the POD strategy. What’s the fun of picking the same cookie cutter players as everyone else?

Serong, Cerra, Newcombe & Berry have been in and out of my team several times. Right now, i own 1 of those 4 - Berry. My bet is that Berry wont be a POD too much longer. His end to last season was brilliant and given the reports on his pre season he is probably going to dominate the pre season games - or at least that is my prediction.

Which Berry? None I’ve looked up had an exciting finish to the season at all.

Look more at LDU, Green and Anderson… they are your next SC guns.

EDIT: Serong is a jet and appeals but surprised at some of his scores even with high possessions, not sure yet.

Sam Berry from Adelaide. Averaged 78 up until round 13 bye and from round 14 onwards averaged 94.1

Get T Mitchell for $50k more.

See the merit in it but not sure for me at that price, he would want to be a keeper… however he will have a good year though by all reports.

great C option, terrible VC. Doesn't have the crazy ceiling of a Bont/Cripps/Oliver

Last year

Oliver - hit over 140 seven times, peak of 178
Laird - hit over 140 seven times, peak of 156
Cripps - hit over 140 three times, peak of 162
Bont - hit over 140 two times, peak of 181

Seems to me like he's good at being VC too.

What about Neale.?

Can see Larid doing that again .

Bont doing Bont things more 130 plus scores .

Neale - hit over 140 four times, peak of 198 (vs Essendon rd 2, fk he destroyed us, can't believe Rutten let him run free the entire game).

He also put up a 187, and 164. So whilst he didn't get over 140 as much as Oliver or Laird, he went super big when he did.

Going to have Rankine / Rachelle / Shoenberg pushing more thru the midfield this year ......Berry had a top year, can he go to another level .....not sure ???

Rankine might be a solid alternative if McLean doesn’t get named, yeah he costs a lot more but if he plays primarily mid it’s tempting

Not yet, too soon to consider a Rankine ....another couple of years, maybe

Oliver 130+ 25 times last three years
Macrea 130+ 23 times last three years
Bont 130+ 18 times last three years
Cripps 130+ 18 times last three healthy years (skipping 2020-2021 due to injury issues)

Laird 130+ 15 times last three years
