I dunno, but whenever I saw an opponent coming towards me on the field I assumed they were about to strike me. Led to some tricky scenarios after the final siren.

Excuse for my opinion but i don't think it would have mattered what Harris said or didn't. He was getting suspended no matter what when Larkey was not allowed to voice his opinion. After what happened on the weekend with the AFL admitting wrong decision you can bet your bottom dollar he was getting a week even though IMO Ablett and Fyfe's actions were if not the same at least or worse.
Clearly expected HQ to exert a little influence, and that the good fortune that fell their way on Saturday would continue. Probably some pissed off bears supporters who feel that it isn't fair their bloke didn't get a free shot like Ablett did, forgetting that it's one thing to be a protected species, but something altogether different to be an AFL superstar who pulls crowds, enhances TV ratings and stimulates Bruce into raptures. What a stupid defense.
They went in for a "free" shot and had nothing to back it up, they were just hoping for the best.

Absolutely worth appealing, but they stabbed themselves in the foot with some of their testimony and strategy. I still think that disallowing Lackey's statement should be questioned though; is that the new normal?Based on Ablett and Fyfe this year and Mitchell last year, it was worth appealing and I’d be cross at the inconsistency if it was our player. After the protection racket on Saturday night, can’t say that I care.
Sure it was worth contesting.Based on Ablett and Fyfe this year and Mitchell last year, it was worth appealing and I’d be cross at the inconsistency if it was our player. After the protection racket on Saturday night, can’t say that I care.
Dumb as dog shitSure it was worth contesting.
Then their bloke put his head into the noose willingly and now they wonder why he was hung. Not that smart are they?
Yep, it was a shit act.Should have copped a week it was disgraceful.
So is grabbing an opponent's genitals now fair game? Or does it depend on if the opponent is a mate? Looks like Burchill wasn't even assessed. Dangerous precedent set imo.

And obviously, Christo thought... NTTIAWWTIt was assessed and deemed to be foreplay.
