Excuse for my opinion but i don't think it would have mattered what Harris said or didn't. He was getting suspended no matter what when Larkey was not allowed to voice his opinion. After what happened on the weekend with the AFL admitting wrong decision you can bet your bottom dollar he was getting a week even though IMO Ablett and Fyfe's actions were if not the same at least or worse.

Serves your club right for trying to blame Larkey for it.

Clearly expected HQ to exert a little influence, and that the good fortune that fell their way on Saturday would continue. Probably some pissed off bears supporters who feel that it isn't fair their bloke didn't get a free shot like Ablett did, forgetting that it's one thing to be a protected species, but something altogether different to be an AFL superstar who pulls crowds, enhances TV ratings and stimulates Bruce into raptures.

Absolutely worth appealing, but they stabbed themselves in the foot with some of their testimony and strategy. I still think that disallowing Lackey's statement should be questioned though; is that the new normal?
