So pick 30 moves to pick 31?Not even sure what he's worried about bengrina, they traded out their own first rounder and are holding the Dogs current pick 30.
Thanks Giantroo. But directly if we were to count north pick assistance it moves from pick 30 to 31?It'll move at least 5 picks for academy prospects/FS (Walter, Read,Rogers, Croft, McCabe). Then you have the McKay and Gresham compensations + PP. So 8 picks at a minumum.
One pick back for our PP between R1 and R2. One more if Mackay leaves and we get compensation. So potentially dropping two picks due to extra North picks, but more than that depending on other F/S and northern academy bids. Also you can refer to the detailed table in the draft assistance thread to note Hawthorn’s far more extensive gains from the same system over the journey. Thanks Giantroo. But directly if we were to count north pick assistance it moves from pick 30 to 31?
Your mate has certainly bought into the Hawthorn hysteria over a single pick outside rd1.cheers but does anyone know what their current pick is in the second round eg pick 22 moves to pick 23. My mate seems to think we've just been given something equivalent to the first 6 selections of the draft
They're absolutely losing it. He text me asking why we were getting pick 2,3 and 5. I had to break it all down for him in simple terms.Your mate has certainly bought into the Hawthorn hysteria over a single pick outside rd1.

He definitely makes my Name-Based Draft Wish List.
You should be winding him up. Exaggerate it and see how long it takes for his head to fall off. They're absolutely losing it. He text me asking why we were getting pick 2,3 and 5. I had to break it all down for him in simple terms.

You’d think there’s no need to worry about any of this now.You would think GC would have to have some picks inside 30 that will bring that Hawks 2nd rounder back in a couple.
Technically true but i tend to view those academy players as not even in the draft. Nobody other than the Northern states will get a look in.It'll move at least 5 picks for academy prospects/FS (Walter, Read,Rogers, Croft, McCabe). He’s in a family full of eccentrics
Can I be electric too? He’s in a family full of eccentrics
They are an eclectic bunch. He’s in a family full of eccentrics
Tell him that we are negotiating with GwS for their pick #6 giving us 2,3,5 and 6 by doing these tradesThey're absolutely losing it. He text me asking why we were getting pick 2,3 and 5. I had to break it all down for him in simple terms.
It’s frightening how much we are hated by other teams. Just for being a small club and not very successful. Imagine if we start winning we rival Collingwood for hatred. Let them hate btw. Let them hate. The Hawks hysteria seems to go up a level when it comes to North.
West Coast will want either Reid or Curtin so our pick #2 would have to part of a deal and not pick#3..If McKay is a compo pick 3 and not some strange pick outside the 18 because fools think we've got too much assistances already.
Like the trade of #14+#19 (1161+915=2109) to GC for their pick 5 (1878) which gives them a surplus of 231 points but l'd try and haggle #14+F#20 (2073) which gives them only a 195 surplus and keeps our present #19 and F#19
Trade #3 & #5 for WCE #1 which leaves us with #1,2,19,39,58,59,76 plus F#19...WCE goes from #1,#19 to #3,#5 keeping their #19
OR we just stay with #2,#3 and #5...really depends on whether WCE really want Reid or how much do we want Reid aka Cadman and GWS last year?
We should'nt be trading Harley unless WC comes to us. If we approach them, then we lose any negotiating leverageWest Coast will want either Reid or Curtin so our pick #2 would have to part of a deal and not pick#3..
