LDU vs Simpkin + Cash in the  vs Green

Simpkin is appealing, w an extra 13% of CBAs attended and the fact hes not as harsh on the wallet. I guess you could argue he averaged 10 pts lower than
for the season, but equaled LDU's 6 tonnes in the last 7 games. Again Simpkin still averaged lower but I think he a reliable scorer and for 50k less its tempting to take him.

LDU is probably my favourite pick of the three atm and had some big scores in the last few rounds of 2022. Not much more I can say, price turns me away from him a touch, but a nice average is the main selling point and I see him taking the big scores for the roos this year.

Not much I can say about green that hasnt already been said, still not sold.

a midfield focal point vs a player rotating through midfield in competition with his supercoach twin Butters.

id have to go with titch
The pies were the most entertaining team to watch last year, but the delivery to any “midfield focal point” was a bit like:

Brayshaw vs Young

Tough one. I think Brayshaw is a surer bet to average 100-105. I think Youngs ceiling is higher, but floor is also lower (say 95-110). Depends on your risk appetite. I would go Young because he is cheaper and if you grab Brayshaw you may as well just cough up the extra 50k for a super premo.

Can't believe Laird is only 10%. Imagine if he starts at that level ownership and carries on like the back half of last season? Kents would need 3 downgrades to get him.

Laird/Bowes +$70k vs Little Nicky/Noah (or any breakout mid around that price range)

Crows have a relatively difficult fixture, the first 6 weeks ....Laird is almost guaranteed to drop in price

Scored pretty well in losses last year, why would that change this year?

EDIT: 126 in wins vs 128 in losses. So it makes no difference to the little champ.

Tackle numbers were massive for Laird last year, can he keep it up? The improvement of the mids around him might hurt him in this regard, seen photos of Berry looking massive as well.

4 of the first 5 at AO is juicy, but would imagine he might cop some attention from Drew and Serong back to back.

Well if Rankine is going to be at a lot of CBA's someone will need to tackle. Not saying you're wrong but why could he not keep it up? Highest average possessions last year too.

From afar would the game plan not be for Laird and Berry to do the dirty work and getting it out to the likes of Rankine?

I feel Laird is super safe because he is one of the few midfielders who would be fine if the team expanded the rotation and gave the inside mids 75% game time.

He is at 78% TOG last year, while every other super premium is at over 85%.

My thinking is improvement in their midfield group would have him potentially tackling less as they get first hands on it more often.

At 700k I don't think his price ever really goes up, and it only takes a couple little things to go wrong (or 1 bad game) and suddenly those 10% who own him are potentially 100k down on the rest of the comp who pick him up at 600k. Think this factors into his current % as his scoring power can't be questioned.

Bowes vs Yeo

Sheed vs Hopper
What do you see Sheed averaging? I have him in my team atm, but only because it works with my structure. Ideally I'd turn Bowes and Sheed into a rookie and premo, but that premo could only be Cameron, or alternatively I could downgrade English to Cameron, and get in a decent premo.

A: Dom Sheed (M6), Jack Bowes (D4)
or
B: Darcy Cameron (F3), $123-150k D Rookie

Darcy Cameron as Pies 1st Ruck
or
Harry Himmelberg as Giants defender
