Kids been good, oldies been a bit average.

Pre-season things though. Overall content with the half. Behinds though, Lions and kicking behinds..

Good enough performance so far in a low intensity match. Frustrating seeing many individuals not showing signs of improving their weaknesses and some stupid mistakes like handballing to Joe on his non-preferred or passing off simple shots on goal

liking our defensive efforts in particular Payne

Clug looking really good as well

As I said earlier, hard to take much from this contest, given the amount of structural outs we have. Even Shannon Neale who we had earmarked as taking over from Hawkins early in the season, is returning from a sprain.

You guys have just been able to waltz it out at will, and start scoring chains by sagging off at any given opportunity - given how useless our 'tall' targets have been. Reckon you win this by 100+

Rayner’s strength and ability to get a handball off while getting tackled is actually really handy in the back half. When Andrews, Starcevich and Rayner are around a contest in the defensive half I feel confident they’ll sort it out among themselves.
Really like Rayner in the back half.

He has a lot more time there than when he's trying to make something happen all the time when forward and his class is showing.

Robertson has to clean it up a bit but his effort is there.
McCarthy unless I’ve missed him do the small things has stink lines coming off his game.

Rayner at half back as good as Esava in defence. Two premiership favourites making premiership winning moves.
