Saw a clip recently of Joel Selwood explaining that Hawkins and Harry Taylor were his two people to lean on for advice and feedback in his frankly ridiculous captaincy tenure. I would bet plenty that Steeley is getting that and more in his early captaincy career, and perhaps moreso with the significant off-field changes undertaken recently.I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s no good, or no good as captain…
But he’s only been captain for one full season on his own… to toss him now seems premature at best, and completely bloody illogical at worst.
Personally, I’m not a fan of co-captains, but that’s just me. Also, I figure professional sportspeople don’t particularly need captains… and leaders don’t necessarily need outside recognition either…
But what would I know.
Narcissists out in force bby pls.
Give them a break old mate, it was 37 degrees here today so it's only natural to be a bit on edge after a day in the sweltering heat. I blame climate change for today's arguments. Nasty little thing it is.Narcissists out in force bby pls.
Need to learn humility and judgement free communication, like me
Lots of Sinclair.Any track watchers noticed us working on kick outs? Would love to see us doing something different from the Howard short chip to a pocket or bomb to a pack
Ch9 sport last night saying King is out of his sling
You’ve sat this one up on a tee.I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s no good, or no good as captain…

Definitely concentrated on what we couldn’t do as opposed to what we could. Was a lot like Richo in this regard. It’s easier to be seen as a good leader when you have strong leadership above you.
The buck stops with RTB.
All I kept hearing under Ratten was: We couldn’t do this, we didn’t do that. We weren’t ready to play. We need to be better etc
He was only shown wearing it last week when doing running from what I was aware.Ch9 sport last night saying King is out of his sling
Obviously Oscar Adams should be Captain you dolts.

The Bulldogs have way more key position forwards than any other club.I was talking true CHFs/Key forward, and not just forwards generally.
Heath is tall, but does not have the mobility for CHF. Is also not ready this year
Keeler does and yes is definitely a future CHF option. But is raw and skinny this season.
Membrey is a very good third tall forward, but has not really played as key position forward. Sharma too also looks to be more your third tall type.
Hayes will undersized looks more like a key position type, but at this stage is not proven at AFL level, though he looked very good in his limited gametime.
Now the problem is that if Max is out at any stage, that our current "ready to play" marking forwards are 193cm players. With Max in I think that should work ok, but when Max is out it may not work as well.
Doggies for example have Naughton, Bruce, Lobb and Jamara. Naughton is their runt at only 195cm. Plus English is a very handy when he plays forward. And then they also have the 204cm Sam Darcy to be groomed. So to my way of thinking the Saints are light on for true key forward types. That is not tos ay that Hayes will not make it as a key forward, but if he does I will still regard him as un undersized key forward. Curnow player that height who plays well in the role.ow being an example
It's a tightrope for sure, and big Max Heath will be holding his breath while Campbell is still getting up to speed.Marshall is going to be absolutely vital this year. Hearing about him tearing up the track, the thought of getting a full season out of him as the number one ruck is so exciting. He can dominate games in that position.
On the other hand if he goes down we are screwed.
Buckle up, buttercup.
Geelong has kpf that are 192cm Hawkins, Cameron, Ratuguola and their ruckman including Bilcavs and Stanley.
Obviously Oscar Adams should be Captain you dolts.

I'm more surprised you came to the conclusion that my post was anything but a joke. I couldn't really give a s**t who the captain is. Whatever works for the players, then do it.
I'd be very surprised if Steele isn't captain. Only way would be if he said he doesn't want to do it anymore.100% agree.
But you have to understand that sarcasm doesn't come across easily on a forum.
Tell me if I'm... last year the players voted for who they wanted as captain.
Wonder if they will do the same this year or the new coaching panel will select the person who they want.
