Oh and Hewett for JSos.

Jack’s season has been very underwhelming so far.

Geez, 13 disposals as a forward, 6 score involvements, 4 marks, 2 goal assists in 66% game time before being subbed off for more run. You don't have to be dead to be stiff.

Without Preuss id assume Pitt or Silvagni will be dropped for Hewett (More likely Silvagni as he was subbed out)

Also doubt LOB is sub 3rd week in a row. Maybe Jack Martin if fit for sub or a big like Silvagni/Pitt
Thought JSOS was really good tonight. Subbed off just to give us some extra run but really hope we stick with him in that role.

Someone’s got to come out and I think he makes sense.

I missed it on the telecast, any idea why he was subbed out?

Much easier to look at the next opponent after a good win :D

I'm not too sure on their full injury risks, but no Kelly and Whitfield, balances out our injuries to Walsh and Williams.

We should go into this game with full confidence
Just have 23 fit players and come in with intensity & efforts

Let's chalk up our 2nd win, us by 23 points!
Don’t want to sound arrogant but we should be giving these pricks a good kicking, around about 10 goals …

Just needed more run and freshness but couldn't sub out the key position players and the 2 rucks were working. Wasn't anything that Jack did wrong or anything.

That probably perfectly epitomises why I think he’s the one to come out.

Didn’t necessarily do much wrong but I personally don’t think he provides the same impact. Would absolutely help if he could consistently chip in with a goal.

Jack of all trades, master of none type thing.

I reckon he is a master of smart football, but there is no stat for that.

No, that’s true.

Who would you have out for Hewett instead?

Fisher would’ve done enough to keep his spot.

Not sure. I can see scope for a ruck being sub against GWS who aren't carrying a lot of ruck strength at the moment. That could mean Pitto or JSOS. I'd perhaps make Ed the sub though and maintain our structure everywhere else.

Jack was immense structurally. These stats show it. He did so much off the ball that it opened things up in both the ruck (though TDK played forward of centre at times he wasn't forced to be the third tall) forward pressure and helped keep their D honest on our key forwards.

Jack has to stay in.

It's time we forced opposition teams to match our game rather than trying to play theirs

In/out: none unless forced change(s)

More of the same determination and intent

Hewett comes in regardless. If he doesn’t then I’ll be quite worried his injury is more serious than reported.

It won’t do the fringe players any harm knowing they have to play well every week to earn their spot. Great opportunity also to send Martin back to the reserves and make him fight for his spot in the team although I suspect we’ll hear he needs an extended layoff to recover from his “calf tightness”.

In Hewett
Out I’m probably leaning towards Motlop but could also be Ed, SOS or Owies. I actually think Jack SOS is the perfect guy to sub out. Whoever is dropped from the starting 22 should be the sub and LOB can go back to the 2s to get a full game.

In Hewett
Out ed
Obrien is a better sub
We don't need to play 33yo ed every week and he is no good fwd, and needs to tag or play onball

Ed kept the ball in the 50 with forward pressure at least three times, kicked a goal and gave younger brother a goal assist.

That was just his forward work, he did an immense amount of other work in the middle.

Ed is going nowhere. By nowhere I mean not out of the senior team. He is super important.

Not to put too fine a point on it
Ed is a worker bee in our bonnet
( apologies to They May Be Giants)
And he made quite a buzz last nite.

Surely this is a piss take. Outs Motlop who was our best small forward or Owies who kicked 3 goals straight. JSOS would need 10 shots to get 3 goals.

Motlop was on fire🔥early and one of our best in the first half
Can’t see him goin anywhere

Plus JSOS gifted a goal to Owies when he could’ve goaled himself. He is a key link player.
