Without the VFL game to go by, I'm leaning on the following changes for the Saints.
Assuming Pitto gets up.

Out - Ed, Honey, SOS, Plow
In - Gov, Kemp, Carroll, Cincotta (if Gov isn't fit bring in Binns or Lemmey).
If Gov's in, play Kemp forward in place of SOS.
If Gov's out, play Kemp back and Lemmey forward.

Well, you've seen what the club has done since 2015. Do you honestly trust them to get it right?

You are still avoiding my question, why bother?

Have seen and heard this for 50 years, while we were winning flags, games by 10+ goals, people still bleating. I don't get

Why do supporters become more prevalent, bleating after a loss, yet hardly contribute after a win

What a sad existence

I haven't seen half the posters in this thread previously

It’s almost an entirely new crew since then.

You can only really judge the recent stuff and it’s been very good in the main. Williams was a bad call in hindsight because he cost a fortune and hasn’t played. The rest have been good although it would be good to have prioritised more speedy role players. I reckon they’re onto that.

Lame. You're better than that:rolleyes:
change clubs, find a different sport, you do nothing but bellyache and most of your input comes after a loss - as though it stimulates you - just take your hand out of the fire........it's pretty simple

Like the so called unstoppable Pies last week?
Not sure what you are getting at here
The pies missed a grandfinal by a point and lost a game in Brisbane by 33. They never conceded 10 goals straight. Intimating that Carlton's performance in Adelaide is equivalent to Collingwood's in Brisbane only allows a supporter to keep their head in the sand with regard to the extent of Carlton's poor performance

Micheal have another look at the context of the post

Pies conceded 10 unanswered goals

Maybe you should pull your head out of the sand before responding and embarrassing yourself

Losing has always been good for business in forum land.

I might get the odd one wrong but selectively use facts, twist and lie to justify your overly positive view of our performance. Comparing collingwood to carlton is a joke. What's the next rabbit hole you are leading us down?

I feel like teams don’t fear us, they go in to the game knowing we are mentally weak and if they pressure us enough we crumble. It’s almost like they are pumped to be playing us and relish the opportunity to make us look ordinary. I dream for the day where teams say, oh no we’re playing Carlton. It’s the opposite at the moment.

Jack Martin good?
Mitch McGovern good?
Adam Cerra good?

All have been highly paid and undelivered.

Forget the win loss ratio - look at the performance. Carlton hasn’t performed well consistently for 4 quarters once this season.

What needs to change is recruitment of players with injury histories and also sweep out Andrew Russell.

I believe Carlton will be a better team in the second half of the year; and one loss shouldn’t be the end of the road.

However, the volume of injuries and lack of dash in this team is concerning.

Too many nice guys. Something I believe The Old Dark Navy's has been onto for a while now.

Michael Jezz I think Arrow's is a valid point. Collingwood are clearly the benchmark from where I sit yet they copped 10 straight against the Lions and were pretty much helpless to stop it. It's an extremely even comp and without wanting to sound too cliched if you're just 1% off you could be in trouble. Our loss whilst disappointing and a little concerning could end up being just a blip on the radar. And let's not forget we had two signinficant outs in defence (Mcgovern significance rises when you consider his replacement) and pretty much every AFL fan including commentators were blown away with what Adelaide produced.

Next week will make things a whole lot clearer.

Cerra has been one of our better players this year (and yesterday) and is not highly paid at all.

Never a truer post posted, we are every teams opportunity to turn their season around, an opposing teams Grand Final.

We are not and have not been respected or feared in 20 years.

Martin and Mcgobern were SOS. Which was my point about new crew.

Which player in the 2021 draft did you think we would be better off with than we are with Cerra? WHO btw is not overpaid at all.

Yep and the past 3 weeks haven’t done much to change this. A dodgy fall over the line performance vs a GWS team that will be bottom 6. An inability to step on the throat of North who will also be bottom 6 when we had them on the ropes late. The first quarter last night. Lack of mongrel and ruthlessness been a problem for the best part of 20 years.
