Interesting watch on Seamus Mitchell at the selection table tonight. Recruited as a pacey forward flanker then moved down back.

Regularly getting a lot of the ball in the VFL. Was a second round draft pick back in 2020 who then had his entire first year wiped out due to injury.

Hopefully gets a debut this season (potentially this Sunday) to show the obvious natural talent that he's got.

With a name like Seamus he's a must watch

Yea not 100% sure that Davey gets back in easily. Hobbs and Snelling been good in the VFL.

Even if I go Dale over Sicily, the extra cash this week will go a long way to getting cogs in the next 2 weeks.

Setters is keeping Russel Hobbs out IMO.
Snelling still Davey and Menzies .
Tex Perkins seems a lock ..in that team

Sicily BE of 145 while averaging 99.5

While I think he’s an obvious target for a finished backline, now is not the time to be burning cash and trades for him.

Should be able to get him sub 550, and potentially around the 525 mark which is 100k off his starting price, in the next couple of weeks.

Keep the extra trade, take Dale who is bottom of his price (for now), and target Sicily in 2 weeks I say.

With the Dawson & Daicos are playing, I think you can have 2 of Stewart/Sinclair/Sicily and 2 of Day/Dale/Redman and be happy.

Which means this is not the week for Sinc & Sicily to me.

Hell, Dawson to the mids and taking 6 defenders might be the play with the way scoring is this year. Mids under pressure constantly means they can play huge games but turnovers cost them (Bont already a victim of this), while long kick outs are “effective kicks” and easy points. Obviously Dawson & Day are playing midfielders but it applies to, Dale, Saad, Sicily, Ryan, even Redman & Daicos, lots of chips across the backline.

Yep, options depend on scoring this week. Bakers 95 on it's final week, is Davey back, is Ginbey rested etc.
