I actually like that idea, but probably best not to listen to me.
I like it more than just Marshall > Gawn. Yes, it delays another upgrade because its an expensive option but you can downgrade Marshall the following week OR hold until Gawn gets forward eligibility. It seems like a very crazy move on face value but it could work really well if Marshall misses this round.

What it also does, is provides cover for the next few rounds and the rest of the season! You are paying bottom dollar for Gawn and i think it may be a good week to do a 2 down, 1 up trade as there seem to be a few rookie options (Weddle & Atkins are the 2 i want). I am talking myself into it big time now :p

Crossing my fingers that Marshall is OUT & Gawn gets forward eligibility in a few rounds time. If both those occur, i think it pays off massively. Even if Marshall plays, i have the option of downgrading him next week and having a hell of a lot of cash to bank for the byes.

Man it’s tempting to go Roma>Gawn and make $58k - it’s a waste of a trade but Gawn’s incredible value this week - if only he had forward DPP status

I was trying to work out how to bring Gawn in Half hr ago, as R2, but can't do it as have Moyle R3,no cash there, also why I know Teackle would be just as much Hassle as Moylke, pain in the arse. Going to do something similar to your Gawn idea, but even sillier

Lets hear it! Silly ideas are welcomed

Hmm. kinda not silly, have no D or R cover if I play Cinc on Field and no way to get Samsons score, works for my needs, all depends on Samson/Witts scoring well tonight,if they spud up will just bring Dawson in .

Maybe a Saints supporter will know if he has passed the fitness test today

Someone on our board that went to training today said that he was training with the main group but I don't know if he did a fitness test or if he passed.

I would imagine he will at least be on the flight to Adelaide, with the game being on Sunday it gives him another couple of days to get up for the game.

I would say he is more likely to play than unlikely and there hasn't been any news that he is in doubt and a possible late out.

Damn you SELFCONFESDAFLNERD now you've got me thinking about Marshall to Gawn - and I have Ryan as cover and only 16 trades left if I do this:

Doch - good pick, but a lot of high scoring mouths to feed at Blues (looking to add him next week though😀)
Mills - gun but role dicey
Brayshaw - looks back (over injury)
Smith - nope, too frustrating to watch.

OK, so let's rule out Smith.

Doch - $509,200. Last two 106/111. BE 71

Mills - $523,100, BE 116. Agree, and that's the caution on him isn't it? Floor of 87 though even though he hasn't really got going yet. Seems value IF he can get back into the midfield full time. I think I can watch him again this week as he isn't likely to go up too much with that BE.

Brayshaw - $531,300, BE 54. Doubt he gets much cheaper, but is the 149 just an outlier V an ordinary Hawks outfit last week? In the midfield I have Oliver, Laird, Bont, J Kelly and Anderson already. Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne and Richmond his next four.

So, I think I'm down to a coin toss Brayshaw/Docherty.

Thinking about trading Marshall or trading in cover. I dont trust that Marshall plays this round!

Currently thinking B.Campbell, Baker, Hollands > Andrew Brayshaw, Teakle & Atkins

Or i could back my gut feeling that Rowan wont play and then i can trade Gawn in. Not sure!

Have you seen Teakle play?

Don't do it to yourself.

Comes up against Gawn and Grundy next week. Then comes up against the Hawthorn rucks a few weeks later whereby no opposition rucks have scored well against.

Teakle is barely SANFL standard let alone an AFL player.

You're right. Ive moved past considering this option

I'm warming to the idea of trading in Anderson rather than Ziegull, I've got a feeling he could go huge again against West Coast and he's more of a POD.

They have only been named on the extended bench, I doubt either of them will make the final cut when the interchange bench is named tonight.
At this point if either Campbell or Cordy are in that would be enough - I just need the smallest excuse haha

Does Anderson get the tag until Miller comes back? Have the cash to upgraded him this week. Brining in brayshaw and Cameron next week.

Or will it be best to go brayshaw this week, with merit or mills with Cameron next week? Leaving me with more cash to upgrade in the future

Marshall > Gawn will still be a viable trade next week as Marshall's projected to make more money than Gawn anyway with that 150+ still in his cycle.

Can definitely wait a week to assess if low on trades IMO
