Guessing there must have been a request from Sandy or a VFL ruling that it was only Sandy players otherwise I am sure the likes of Van Es, Adams, Connelly, Sharman, Peris would have all had a run off the back of little to no game last weekend.

A shame but at least it reduces the chance of another injury...
It's just a weekend off for the AFL, so the chances of AFL players actually playing this weekend were pretty low. There were no requests anywhere.

Funny enough we seem to have kept the youth rather than top up with old guys like some AFL alignments. They look competitive regardless.

Do they have a practice match?
12:30pm today apparently unless it called off due to heat?

Saw first three quarters.

Scrappy game due to the wind.

For all the Sharman fans, he is missing the two basic ingredients to succeed . He has no intensity and does not have a competitive streak. Not based on this game as such but this game reinforced my thoughts .

Thought Peris was the best Saints player , Connolly got into the game more third term.

Would not consider any of the Saints players based on today.

Agreed. Cannot be an afl key forward without having intensity and competitiveness. Weideman, shacae two examples. It’s why Caminiti is playing ahead of him.

Were Campbell or Paton playing?

How were Adams and Van Es?

On Pixel 6a using BigFooty.com mobile app
Both competed hard , Adams surprised me with his pace took the ball a couple of times and put the jets on and had a couple of bounces.

Adams decision making was ordinary on a few occasions but showed some improvement from what I saw last season.

Van Es I didn’t notice as much but looks composed when he has the ball and has a ridiculous leap on him.

A hard day with the wind conditions but could not question their effort and competed well with the ball coming
In regularly and held their own.

Hope it stays dry on the Gold Coast today so we can get a decent standard of game.

Why have we started naming our back 6 like this?

It really shouldn't bother me, but it does 😂

What time is the game and is the AFL app showing it like last year?

Edit: 2:05pm

Keen to see Van Es and hoping Sharman can bounce back

Not much else to get excited about with this game. I think the boys will have a touch day
Add Adams and Max Heath to that list.
