Hello Shinboners!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Posted this back at the start of August and it seems that Clarkos "influence" has flowed through to Brady who also rates Reid at 1 and Watson at 2. No mention of Curtin and McKerchar just yet.

Hawthorn made a strong pitch to North Melbourne free agent Ben McKay at their Waverley Park headquarters on Saturday as the key back closes in on a decision on his future.

Essendon are seen as the favourites for McKay but all three suitors — the Dons, Hawthorn and Sydney — have put in financial offers which would secure first-round compensation for North Melbourne.

The Roos will secure picks two and three, with clubs now believing they could secure a mid-first round pick from the AFL at pick 11 — after the non-finalists — to help preserve the draft order which will be impacted by academy and free agency picks.

They could then decide to bid on Tasmanian mid Ryley Sanders without the league having to break its own rules to link him to the Roos.

Essendon is reported to have offered McKay a pitch which was a long as six years, with McKay having done medicals at all three clubs.

Probably better than just being pre listed and Sanders gets his wish of being drafted at his rightful pick.

But yes, that's the concession required. Bend those rules.
Don't mind it if it keeps the lad happy in regards to having a draft pick number beside his name, but geez it seems like a lot of ****ing around for the same result as prelisting...

whatever. I'm still not convinced that it's even a chance of happening.

I’m confused.

Last week they said Sanders wouldn’t even be able to bid on.

Is he suggesting he possibly could, if the AFL grant him access to our academy the same way as GC rules?

Have heard North have cooled in trading for Harley despite his preference to stay in Victoria especially now with the 3 year contract stipulation for first round picks coming in. North have been turned off by West Coasts demands for pick 1. Have also heard North not keen on Curtin having McKercher Duursma Caddy and Watson all ahead of him.

I'm confused about this. They would have to break their own rules to allow us to bid on him?

Or are they saying that we can use pick 11 to draft Sanders? Coz there ain't any way in hell he is getting to that pick.

So why exactly is draft order suddenly needing to be preserved?
Because of the anti North agenda...
snape GIF

We already have pick two.

We don’t have to do anything to ‘secure’ it.

May we’ll be true on Reid but Curtin is still high for us.
