Fitness, skills and strength focus for the off-season.

Hardeman, W.Dawson and Duursma emerge as genuine, 23 game a year options.

Ford develops as a winger over the off season rotating across HF with Duursma.

Hardeman is able to move McKercher up field.

Dawson, Corr and Logue develop as our defensive trio with Hardeman, Archer and McDonald to support.

Scott, McKercher, Ford, Tucker Rotate through wings, HF and guts.

Sheezel, LDU, Mckercher, Parker, Wardlaw make up the core of the mids with big X.

Curtis, Jones, Rachelle, Simpkin and Hansen jr now constitute a respectable mosquito fleet while supporting the mids.

Comben, Larkey, Teakle and Armstrong (pick 4) make up an emerging set of talls, supported by Zurhaar, Duursma and Ford.

Great ideas, but we’ll probably offer Charlie Dixon 2 years instead.

AFL football. There is always something to play for.

At the end of 2023 with Harley Reid on the table, we win a ‘nothing’ game. We celebrate like there’s no tomorrow because “winning culture>>picks”.

The following year, we want to put a full stop on a year where we might’ve shown progress.. We need wins to capitalise and give these kids belief.. We need something for the fans to hang onto leading into 2025. We throw the towel in and say it doesn’t matter.

No, I’m not on board with that.

There'll always be different opinions about the value of trades etc, but the club has added real value in areas of weakness this trade period. There is the potential to head into R1 with a first 18 that looks something like this (I know not everyone will agree on this particular 18 but it's an example) which is much better than anything North has rolled out for a while.
