He's excellent below his knee's, if not freakish for his size. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be half the player he is at almost 6"5. His agility for his size is also close to unmatched, that includes Bont, Cripps and Green.

Now, he did fumble on the weekend at times, but it's not a hanging offence to do it in one game or two games.

You have touched on some of his perceived weakness, he's not a marking threat as a junior, which is a big query given his height.

He's also more of a second receiver rather than a Patrick Cripps pure contested animal. LDU had a statistical model like this also at u/18 level.

You have cited body strength in the contest as a major weakness.

I've spoken to two national scouts in person about him that said entirely the opposite on this point. They view it as a positive. He has ALOT of physical development to come with his frame.

If he was doing the complete opposite here and dominating kids purely through body size and strength, im sure he would be labelled a man child. You can't win sometimes with someone his size.

The second receiver style of play isn't necessarily an enormous weakness either. It's normally an aspect of an inside ball winner that is hardest to teach and some of the best ones in the history of the game almost never are able to impact in possession chains on the spread like Smillie is as a junior.

Now, he almost needs to be taught how to use his physical gifts more to his advantage and to stay inside the coal face longer at the next level, instead of spreading and looking to link up. Again, an unusual process.

He's a very unique prospect for his size that has some very abnormal strengths and weakeness' for his body size, this could be viewed as a positive or a negative, it's in the eye of the beholder.

FOS is not without his own queries.

Can I ask your opinion on Levi Ashcroft Sphynx? I saw a comment of yours on the North board about Logan Morris last year, and he turning out to be very promising in the same way you described. Curious to know your thoughts on Levi.

Whats his speed and tank like compared to some of the top liners in past years

I know Urquhart does butcher the ball at times but in fairness to him, the way he plays - which is first hands on the ball at stoppage he's always going to have a player hanging off him and be under pressure.

Nevertheless, his hunger for the ball and his ability to bust his way past tacklers must make a top 15-20 pick now.

Sure he has things to work on but these are things which seem fixable to me.

I think the rankings are difficult outside of the top 12-13 players. I have a big group of 20ish guys that are all talented and have shown a lot and Urquhart is in that group. I imagine it'll separate out a bit as the season progresses.

The hip re-construction at such a young age might seriously deter interest, unless the medical opinion is that it’s no problem at all.

No need to be apprehensive. Your views will be appreciated.
I'll happily throw mine in here as a point of discussion.

For discussion...here is my current top 50 plus a few extras who have draft-able qualities. This hasn't been updated in the last few weeks so is definitely subject to change. Also note, I'm not privvy to pre-season testing numbers like some other posters around these parts. Also, there is no doubt I've missed a few who have draft-able qualities.

This could be just the push I needed

Sure he has things to work on but these are things which seem fixable to me.
He will be hard to ignore in the top 20 atm, kicking needs work but has a lot of other very exciting traits.

He and Bo Allan sit in my 20 at this stage
