Why wouldn’t McLaren consider them equals next year and see what happens.

Norris was right, there was luck and not talent that played a part in the race. Without that luck Norris could have easily found the wall or gravel on one of his numerous excursions off the track like so many others did.

Best part is, imagine if Max actually had a competent teammate this year so RBR could actually split strategies etc. Lando would be nowhere near him in the WDC.

Everyone outside of England is cheering that comment. Imagine being stuck in the middle seat between Chandhok and Kravitz on the plane out of Sao Paolo after the race, you'd leave the plane soaked with their bitter tears.

And seriously what a bloody sook comment from Norris about luck. And totally lacking in self awareness given what happened in Q1 to get him to the top of the starting grid anyway.

Someone should dig up that photo of Jonny Bairstow looking sullenly out the window at Lords after he got stumped in the 2023 Ashes test and photoshop Lando's head on it.

Yes and no. His 10 second penalty didn't help but I dont think the pit hurt him that much apart from potentially causing the punt.

5k Fines per car for Mercedes for the tyre pressures. Mitigation was the long distance it takes to get to the grid for mechanics.

Hahahah. I like Max more and more each year. I’ve almost forgiven him for the Baku weaving crash with Ricciardo.

Unfortunate for Oscar that the penalty wasn't called earlier as serving it under the VSC (deployed when Hulk got his car beached) when he came in to change tyres would have made it far less damaging.

And yes you can serve a time penalty under a VSC according to article 54.3:

"driver concerned must carry out the penalty the next time he enters the pit lane and, for the avoidance of doubt, this includes any stop the driver makes whilst a VSC or safety car procedure is in use".

But PIA didn't whinge about 'luck' like his team mate did.
