Brownlow 2024 Brownlow Medal Discussion

Like most of you I've lost interest in this year's Brownlow Medal.

But here goes:

Like many of you, in the 1950's, we listened to the radio for the count,
1956 TV arrived
the memorable occasion in 1968 when Skilts arrived at Festival Hall (Channel TV had live coverage "TV Fight of the Week") black-eyed
1970 like bedford, my mother and I went to the first public voting for Peter Bedford @ Dallas Brooks Hall to win the Brownlow and my mother won final tickets to see the actual presentation
The 2024 Brownlow Medal will be broadcast live and free in Australia on Channel 7 and 7mate and live streamed on 7Plus from 7.30pm AEST
The night starts with the Red Carpet arrivals before the count gets underway at 8pm AEST. :sadv1: :rolleyes:o_O
The coverage will also be live streamed on the AFL Live Official App from 7.30pm AEST. Download from the App Store or Google Play.

Hope Heath Grundy wins it. 🤞🏼

I'll watch just to see how far ahead the true 2024 Brownlow Medalist will get before the AFL hands it to wancos.

He won’t be close anyway (at least 7 behind). On my count he’s 7 behind the 2 that could win. Have Cripps winning by 1 to Daicos, then Serong, Anderson, Neale, Bobt. One thing though I’ve always underscored Neale and it bites me every time.

I am interested to see the first half of the year especially. I think there is a chance Heeney will be 10 votes clear by the time we have our second bye in round 12.

As for the rest of it. If Daicos polls early in Collingwood losses and it is clear the umpires are as horny for him as the media, then it is pretty much over.

Not interested. Gulden was robbed of votes that would have won him the medal last year and now Heeney is robbed but we will never know it because I don’t trust the umpires to vote the same once they know a player is ineligible.

The AFL can finally give their golden child Daicos the medal they always wanted him to have.

We collectively gave Cunningham 0 votes?

I hope for the sake of footy Isaac doesn't poll the most votes. I think Cripps will poll well and win as I can't see who else at the Blues will.
Man I hope Heeney does. Just another thing we've been robbed of.

You just know if we win the premiership people will cry about the injustice of the academies. Then we can point out the injustice of robbing Issac of his Brownlow.
