Essendon are a sleeping giant currently experiencing a down period in their history.
I don't think the gap between them and three clubs is that big.

Yay!Melbourne at 59,659.
For first time this year, Melbourne are ahead of the same week last year.
Interestingly according to Wookies graph only two clubs are so far in 2024 are marginally ahead of their 2023 totals and some are a long way behind last years totals.
Maybe it is due to cost of living pressures with people not willing to shell out hundreds of dollars on memberships and reserved seats?

Fair enough. Correction made. Including all other teams.Pies also technically play home games at Marvel.
In 2023 we played North and Lions as our two Marvel games, both only had sub 40k crowds.
Yet in 2023, when playing Adelaide and Sydney at the G the Pies pulled 65k and 71k. We would have easily got the same 70k+ crowds if we played Brisbane and North at the G last year and pushed our numbers up to 1.45 mil.
Decent effort that.Carlton 27th April - 99,000
