The Lions announced 60,358 members at the GWS game today. Up 12% on 2023. Fantastic effort from the club. 31,000 plus at the game today which is huge for a GWS game (only looked like GWS had about 100 people in the crowd!).

Especially if you keep playing the way you have been playing recently. To be honest, I thought the acrimonious circumstances when Clarkson was replaced by Mitchell would be disastrous for your club, but credit to Hawthorn for making the transition work.

Hawks break all-time membership record
Hawthorn has smashed through its all-time membership record, with 81,622 loyal members part of the brown and gold family in 2024.
The historic achievement comes as the AFL team continues its audacious climb towards a possible finals berth, while the AFLW Hawks prepare to launch into one of the most anticipated campaigns in their short history.
It’s the third consecutive season the Hawthorn has surpassed 80,000 members, after the club last celebrated a record tally just two years ago.
The support from the Hawthorn faithful has been among the strongest across the league, with the club welcoming an average attendance of more than 50,000 at its MCG home games for the second straight year, with one game remaining.
This was highlighted when Hawthorn saw its highest home crowd in more than a decade earlier this season, as 74,171 passionate members and fans painted the stands brown and gold for a memorable victory over Collingwood in Round 19.
Our Tasmanian family also continues to turn out in record numbers, with UTAS Stadium welcoming an average attendance of more than 12,000 fans ahead of the Hawks’ final home and away fixture of the season against North Melbourne in Round 24.
To celebrate the record-breaking tally and give back to the loyal Hawthorn faithful, the club will be launching a number of ‘Member Thank You’ activities and initiatives over the next two weeks.
To be part of the action, Hawthorn members and fans are urged to make their presence felt at the MCG this Sunday afternoon against Richmond, before packing out UTAS Stadium in Tasmania next Saturday against the Roos.
Hawthorn CEO Ash Klein said the new membership record was a significant milestone in the club's storied history.
“We are immensely proud to break our all-time membership record and share this special occasion with our brown and gold faithful,” Klein said.
“From our first member right through to our 81,622nd, they all play an important role in our success as a football club and we are incredibly thankful for their commitment and dedication in 2024.
“From our home games at the MCG and UTAS Stadium to our interstate trips, the passion and enthusiasm that is felt from our Hawthorn members continues to drive our players and coaches on and off the field.
“We look forward to formally thanking our members across our final two home and away games as part of our ‘Member Thank You’ activities, whilst also showcasing some of the amazing stories of loyalty along the way.”

Well done Geelong 4th biggest in Vic they would be 5th only because Essendon have traumatised their supporters for 20 years.

SUNS set new membership record in 2024
Gold Coasters are supporting their club like never before, with this year’s number marking a 12% increase on the 2023 total of 23,359, and 91% growth since 2019.

Lions just announced 63 368 members for 2024. 15% growth on the 54k members last year. Here is the announcement below.
Really pleased with this, looks like the club is now in the middle tier of clubs for membership. Ahead of Bulldogs, St Kilda and on par with the likes of Freo and Melbourne. This will be great for the club financially and hopefully make a big dent in the last of the debt we hold.

Lions membership surges 15% to new club record
The Brisbane Lions today announced a new club membership record with 63,268 fans signing on as members in season 2024.
