How so? Clubs like Brisbane and Carlton will have excess picks from late bids and will be happy to move some value into next year.

We can only focus on the now and right now we have **** all small forwards who can kick goals and apply pressure to lock the ball in.

That's just it. As a list manager it's not that easy, there are no absolutes. You know the player age profiles, you know the list. What years would you try to pull which levers?

You look at weakness in your list and address it. For us it is developing key backs, nimble fast midfielders and damaging players forward of the ball.

Very happy with our picks. Love the Langford pick. I really wanted him. Impacts forward or centre as a mid. His ability to take a grab inside 50 looks great. I did kind of want Allan but he seemed to slide somewhat would I know. But Lyndsay looks good too. Has that speed and skill we need.

Jack Henderson from Werribee. 24-year-old small forward midfielder who won the Norm Goss medal for best on ground honours in this year's VFL grand final.

Averaged around 22 disposals and kicked 15 goals for the year. Zippy little fella from the deep stick of country Victoria at Blighty (great pub!) and has done the hard yards to put himself in this position.
