I don't think it will be Camporeale(s) that go first round but Lombard will and there is a good chance that we bid on Marshall just to piss off Brisbane because we need our customary bid on a closed pool player. Suspect that it will float our pick out 5 picks so 23-24
I don't believe Battle will give St.Kilda round 1 compensation. That figure may have done so last year but with the significant increase in the salary cap this year, I think they will get level 2.
Ashcroft, Lombard and Kako will be bid on in the first round thereby pushing our draft choices back 3.

It's a shame we don't have a second round pick this year.

We sort of do- those two 20’s picks. Wont shock me if we split the second one to two second rounders

We could possibly swap both. One moving up the order and the other moving back.

Think we move one moving both doesn’t make sense as there’s a few keys around our selection just pick one. May move the latter one

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the thread:
Carlton have told Matthew Kennedy he's free to look around.

He wants to be an inside midfielder, but it's difficult to get minutes when there's Cripps, Walsh and Cerra.

Kennedy is a NSW boy. Big bodied, capable overhead and can kick a goal.

I think he could add something to our side.

I think would only be an option if we lose both Adams and Parker.

Been a fan of his for a while.

Hes been told to look around because he’s very “beige” …. kinda ok at everything, but no stand-out attributes.

I don’t think we’d be interested in a cast-off mid from Carlton. Meets none of our potential needs.

Quick check of last 15 rounds of firsts

First rounders:
Green, Cleary, Konstanty, Sheldrick, Logan, Campbell, Stephens, Blakey, Ling, Florent, Hayward, Mills, Heeney, Jones, Towers, Mitchell, Lamb, Rohan, Jetta, Lewis Johnston

Currently on list = 11/20
Shennigans (academy and f/s) = 6/20
Best 23 as of Qual final = 7/20 first rounders

Not horrible, but definitely academy doing a lot of the heavy lifting

Yep im guessing he would have an interesting record of picks in 30s & 40s:
List would include:
Roberts, Gulden, Warner x2, McInerney, McCartin, D Cameron, Newman, Hewett, Nank, Aliir etc

Newman was a rookie pick. But I suppose that makes it even better.

Rookie picks are very impressive for us really

Cunningham, Rampe, Lloyd, Melican, Amartey, Mclean, Papley and Fox (pretty sure that's all that is playing)

There is a lot of potential good pick ups in the late 20s and 30s

I hope we pick up a pick in the 30s

Alex T who could be around our pick would be a great pick up

Especially as a Rampe replacement

Gerryn seems a very interesting pick up - potentially a upgrade on McLean (who I like for the effort he puts in but who is just not athletic enough for that forward Ruck role) (but he tries his guts out)

This draft will be the most interesting in many years
