We have Snell (194) and Edwards (197) who we rate highly enough to have extended until 2027 and 2026 respectively. It's just taking time. We'll possibly add Cochran, 195cm interceptor via the academy.

I think whoever our next member of the 3 regular KPD group is, they probably should be on the bigger side, with Melican as the Rampe "replacement".
Imagine having a not undersized defensive unit. Wouldn’t that be something?

You’d have to go back at least pre-2005 to see that at the Swans.

Passing on Dunkley when he was a father/son, nominated us as his choice, was highly rated coming into the draft, and plays the exact role we now desperately need, was a pretty big mistake as well.
Dunkley never nominated us, he and his father have had a hatred for the swans ever since roos retired Andrew before he was ready. Andrew has never made a secret of his anger at the Swans after that.

He did nominate Sydney, but the stipulation was for us to match bid only if another interstate team bid on him first. He wanted to stay in Melbourne

He did nominate us. That is why there was a bid for us not to match in the first place.

I am aware of all the issues with his dad.

I dunno what has been said privately, but Beatson said publicly that we didn't match because we thought he wasn't a good enough kick. Nothing to do with any agreement about us not matching if a Victorian club bid on him.

Of course he said that. The agreement was 100% draft tampering, he's never going to admit to that.

You have any you are willing to donate to get some targets over the line?
Sure we can start a go fund me page to get him to the Swans. May need a ****ton of money to pry him out of Geelong though. There salary cap is a bottomless pit

Jack Martin is the answer to a pub trivia quiz question in 2030.

Q Which player finally spilled the beans on Geelong's salary cap rorting in 2025 leading to them getting a 5 year trade ban and the 2022 Premiership being stripped from them?

I just want small forwards omg it deadset makes me panic thinking about our lack of dangerous smalls. I know I sound like a broken record and it's probably annoying to read all the time, I don't mean to be, it just really feels like we are getting left behind in an area that has become absolutely key to success in the last 4-5 years and if anything the game's trending even more in that direction.
