How do you know this?

Would make sense do I agree with it not particularly- I’d use all 4 picks before matching Cocran but the club will be happy to use the two prime selections we have then match Cochran with one of the next two

No disrespect intended but I find your level of knowledge and interest in Cochrane a touch weird.

Do you have some inside knowledge? WCE going to swoop in with a first rounder? Or are you associated with the young lad?
They've already said their son played junior footy with him.

Think some people are overreacting.

Ah, that makes sense then. For the record, I have no issue with him here. His insights on Cochran, in particular about him being athletic but not quite yet a footballer, makes sense. Hope we can get him as a Cat B rookie.

My hopes for the draft:
Use our 4 picks in the main draft on:
1) Competitive tall with sticky hands, don't really care if he is a defender or forward as I think we can mould a young guy in either direction depending on future need
2) Competitive small defender, capable of not only rebounding but providing a hard lock down
3) Competitive medium forward who can provide both a target in F50 and also apply defensive pressure
4) Competitive and combative mid.

2 rookie picks:
Cochran (cat B)
Mature cat A eg Brew, Crossley - tough, uncompromising hardened body who is just chomping at the bit for a shot at the big time.

Really not interested in any de-listed players from other clubs.

The theme for this year's recruiting is Competitive - need some real hunger in our list and a return to the "Bloods" culture, not the limp crap we saw on GF day and at times throughout season 2024.

Is that your order of priority? I agree with your needs assessment.

"Coming off another crushing grand final disappointment, the Swans have reportedly identified outside run as a need and will target endurance-types with their two first round selections"
As if we don't have enough soft players on the list, let's just add another two. I'm looking forward to being humiliated in another 3-4 GF's over the next 10 years.
