Looks like either Shanahan/one of the Whitlocks slips to us or someone else good slips through if they all get taken early. Probably that's the best use of our first pick if we hold it.

Then, if we do take a tall with our first, someone like Dattoli/Hannaford/Oliver with our second.

Dear Swans.

Hotton, Trainor, Davis, Boxshall.

Get it done. It'll define you.

Yours sincerely

DQ

Hotton, KPF (non fussed who they are all similar if Whitlock gets through take him). Rest I agree if Davis gets to our third happy enough.

Rather trade our f1 in and keep the two picks we have
We've found our common ground. Bank talent earlier in what is supposed to be a good draft.

We should be around the mark for a while yet, at least until grand final day, so having an extra player or two ready to go a year earlier, while you have the list spots is a bonus.

As long as it’s not for Hynes I’m all for it. Take 3 picks in the 20’s this year right now.

Love it. Two needs we need. Faull I had early in my second so not a reach and Hannaford if it’s not Datolli it’s him. Berry looks likely gone
I reckon WCE reach on Hannaford which would be super funny as they effectively turned a Finn O'Sullivan/Sid Draper into Baker and Hannaford if thats the case.

No chance if WCE reach that’s their LAST need

Your hate for Hynes is just straight up comical as you haven't given one reason for it.

I have mate and flat out do not rate one bit sorry to be blunt but NO. Happy with a key fwd, small, mid. I’m all for a mediums forward but 3rd pick onwards that’s all

So you want Hayward to have no replacment. If Hayward goes down its season over
There is like 6 small forwards and 8-10 mids who can play small forward in the top 40. There are 3 medium forwards in Hynes Davis and Day-Wicks. The drop off from Hynes and Davis to Day-Wicks is much larger than the small forwards.

Thirdly you didn't answer the question other than saying No which is just not an appropriate answer.

I literally said take one in the 3rd or 4th pick.

I’d also trade our f1 in for another pick in the 20’s range get a medium there

Trading our F1 would be effectively starting a cycle of trading our F1 each year and we are bound to be stung eventually by it when we come out of our "window". So trading in for a pick in the 20s for potentially a future top 10 pick isn't the best option because we are just leaving massive value out there

See I disagree getting a top 25 talent in now is more important worry about next year then

What if we follow the trend of getting smacked in a grand final and missing or barely making finals. That F1 you traded would be a Top 10 pick next year and you give it up for Pick 25?

It won’t be- next years is highly compromised. Get the talent in now

I'm less concerned with potentially leaving "value" out there, than what increases our chances of winning a flag.

In my view, if you're in the window, which we have to operate as if we are, assuming we can rectify grand finals, then banking talent earlier in the window, while there's a good draft on offer, means you are more likely to have 1 or 2 additional players ready to impact and prolong the time you're in the window. If you have the spots and there's a few others looking more likely than not, to leave next year (Rampe, Francis, Hamling, Wicks, Corey, Mitchell, Buller), make the most of it.
