It's the end of August 2023 2024. 5 6 years into our 3 year rebuild and Laird, Crouch, and Sloane are 3 2 of our 4 main starting mids in a game to stay in finals contention dead rubber to finish bottom 4, which they lost.

The more things change, the more they stay the same!

At least Rankine kicked on this year, despite concerted attempts to reduce his midfield time and avoid admitting we were right and they were, once again, wrong in a way that suggests they have no idea what they're doing. Injury and, after long periods of refusing to accept reality, ommissions due to form also finally let us get some games into some of our younger players to find out whether or not they have a future (mostly yes).

Welcome to the Adelaide Football Club. I am notionally a fan of this laughing stock of an organisation.

Looking at that list.

I'd let Himmelberg, Smith, Burgess, Gollant, Gallagher go.
McHenry, Parnell to be rookie listed
Sign on Hammil, Walker, Bond and Borlase.

Trade Keane. And try and trade Laird too.
