Watching Peel he actually has the tools. Still raw and lanky, if that make sense. Has a great leap.

Really shocked with Owies and Kennedy. Both played nearly every game this season. That and Marting going, how do they expect to improve ?
Motlop staying is hilarious. Guy is atrocious and slow for a small forward.

Carlton traded Sam Petrevski-Seton for Lewis Young (formerly Dogs) in a three way with West Coast. They signed him last year until end of 2026.

Rookie List (A): 6 (Jones, Reidy, Stanley out of contract)

So potentially 30 primary list players, 3x cat A rookies, 1x cat B rookies total.
6 national draft picks, 5 rookie draft picks.

8 national draft picks, 3 rookie draft picks.
Forget list space. We already have six KPDs on the list - seven KPDs is far too many.
If Draper and McDonald aren't best 22 not many teams have better depth than that. Davies isn't that far behind them if he has a really good Pre Season either.

I think there will be a club that will take on Will Brodie. Might even be a trade that favours the team picking him up.
Say we bring in Baker and Bolton. Hopefully re-sign NOD and Knobel.
Either of Emmet or McDonald could be delisted and added to rookie list.
The net result would then be 3 ND picks.
I honestly not fussed what happens with rookie list.
Reidy possibly traded or retained.
Both Jones and Stanley in trouble for mine - especially if Reidy is retained.
With one of Reidy or Jones gone along with Stanley we have space for say McDonald and Martin to be added to rookie list.

You would think if he wanted to go, then he would leave anyway.
We would only get a 3rd round pick for him if we traded him out.
Doubt we'd get a third round pick tbh. That's roughly what we were going to get for Meek until they decided to get JOM involved.
Third round picks are for fringe rucks that could become best 22.
Guys traded purely for depth won't fetch that much. It'll be a token 4th rounder or minimal upgrade of picks.

If the Cats are interested we should be VERY keen.
The Cats must have a huge money tree down there!! Not that Martin is going to cost much however there are always decent players going there.
Pubs, land development and cotton on.
Cats interested because he turns 30 in a few months

We were into Jack Martin before it was cool!
Will be annoying if a bidding war starts for Martin, was hopefully to get him on an incentives only contract, obviously he will just sell to highest bidder
Really could use him after seeing tubby rioli chop up a final, Will Schofield reckons Martin hits bloody hard for someone his size
