I'd say they are uncorrelated.

Just thinking Warner will be on $1m+ and Bolton on $900k+ so will be tight. The right play might bring to get Bolton and draft Berry this year, leave Warner until next.

No one else really has the currency in Victoria after Melbourne fell through

Just the vibe of it tells me he's not going to consider North. All reports are he is happy to stay at Port, but possibly go to a Vic side. I know no one seems to have the currency, but surely North isn't even a last resort.

Anyway, I'll say trading for north's future 1st is less than 2% chance happening.

I do think we can easily auction off pick 10, but it would probably be for an early 2nd and a future first or at the most optimistic of hopes, 2 very late firsts - one this year and one next.

I dont think the rookie thing makes a difference, there's just fullstop not enough list spots. I'll be staggered if we trade in less than 2 players and that makes it all real tight when we should still be having a presence in this draft.

If we give away all our first rounders, we’ve essentially excluded ourselves from 3 drafts in a row in terms of top end talent. It would leave a massive hole in our list. For Baker? Spare me. Bolton I’m comfortable giving away pick 9 and 16-18, but not 9 and 10.

Yeah I'm in the camp of let's take one first round pick to the draft. Spend the other two on Bolton and whatever else comes our way, be that Baker or some other left field surprise I don't care, but not drafting one first rounder is an error
