Could be bad news for Emmett. Great news for Freo though, a lot of pace and skill thereIt may just be a throwaway line but this article suggests the Gaelic side that Ultan Kelm plays for will lose him to us.
I know he impressed in his few weeks training with us.
"With AFL side Fremantle Dockers still keen on Ultan Kelm, Fermanagh could soon lose one of their most valuable assets."

Well, longer than I remembered it seemsFour years!

Yes, I mean from a position perspective I'd expect Ultan would be playing as a forward. The guy will be Category B rookie. Makes no difference to Emmett. He’s replacing Conrad Williams who we’ve already delisted and no one else. The only question is whether the other Irish bloke is a better option or whether there’s some guy from another sport (who hasn’t been registered footy player for three years) has enough potential to be a better option.
Yeah he does.
Scot.
Of Brunei?More importantly, does Kelm have a nickname?
JOM has better hair.I think Aish is better than O'Meara in almost every metric. Some will disagree of course, but that's my view.
Warners partner Alice, lives in Perth.I had someone at work claiming to be a friend of Warner's partner say they have decided to stay in Sydney. There's a lot of shit going around atm.
They’re both struggling in that departmentJOM has better hair.
Where do they both rank on champion dataThey’re both struggling in that department
I think if both Bolton and Baker are coming then both 9 and 10 will be going their way but something significant coming back. No way all three head off. My scenario sees both going but an upgrade of our 16 to either 15 or 12.For the love of god please don’t give those smug pricks at punt road 9+10 for Bolton or a FRP for baker they are prancing around like it’s a done deal they own your x3 selections
Freo were first considering him end of 2021. He had a hip injury and we decided not to have an injured player take up cat-B list spot. Since recovering he has been playing good Gaelic football and practicing with AFL football. He turns 25 in December. If they feel he can contribute quite quickly then that may be the route they take and then with the younger Irish fella keep tabs on him over the next year or two.Three or four years is quite a lot IMO.
Let’s say it takes Kelm two years to play a game - he’s 27 by then. Normally you’re thinking about drafting a player to replace a senior player when they’re around 28 or 29 so you can get two to three years development in before the younger player is expected to take over.
A 21/22 year old takes that time and, if things go well, they’ve still got 6-7 years of prime left to make a difference.
As I said I’d hope Kelm is way way better than the other Irish guy otherwise I’d rather allow the extra years to develop into a good footballer.
Btw Gaelic players can only take up one Category B rookie spot so it just makes the list spots argument a little stronger. Category A rookies most of the time are more likely to contribute tbh. Having said that you can upgrade from Category B to Category A so if an Irish player does really well year one or two making them a Category A and bringing in another Irish may help. As I said a few pages back I think it’s likely we make more list changes next year than this year so we might need to get creative with the draftees we do bring in.
I think this is crazy optimistic from you, though I'd love just to laugh at a few Richmond peepsI think if both Bolton and Baker are coming then both 9 and 10 will be going their way but something significant coming back. No way all three head off. My scenario sees both going but an upgrade of our 16 to either 15 or 12.
I think Richmond will do a deal with Brisbane to get 15 and the Rioli deal will involve pick 12. Richmond also have no need for the later picks 39,41,47.
Baker hasn’t decided as yet and could choose WC. Then for just Bolton the deal would be more like 9 + 27 or 9 + 16 with 21 coming back.
Richmond posters can think what they like.
I like the cut of your jib.I understand all the goodwill etc that would go into player trade requests.
But, I’m offering pick 9 and loose change for Bolton. This is a deep draft and Tigers will want that pick 9 desperately.
If they don’t accept early, I’m placing 9 up for auction. We’re talking fine margins in this draft. Do they want to lose 9 for 10? That’s a potential rival side getting a player they want.
This is a great draft to leverage picks.
Yeah they’re insufferable. For the love of god please don’t give those smug pricks at punt road 9+10 for Bolton or a FRP for baker they are prancing around like it’s a done deal they own your x3 selections

This guy is fast, tough tough, coordinated, and reads the play way in advance. Picture a michael fredericks crossed with a lachie schulz…He has been training with the AFL ball for the past few years and sending videos to the club regularly so he seems quite professional. I heard that the club was surprised how far he has progressed.
I agree with you his age is getting up there but he still has his pace.
The younger boy looks quick as well but the problem is list spots are tight.
Yeah you're dreaming.I think if both Bolton and Baker are coming then both 9 and 10 will be going their way but something significant coming back. No way all three head off. My scenario sees both going but an upgrade of our 16 to either 15 or 12.
