Didn't we just go thru this with Stroud. Can't anoint a guy generational qb after 1 season especially when teams don't have heaps of film to adjust their d for him yet. In year 2 he slumped and make a case Young is better qb of the two.
Plus Washington already did that with rg3 years ago and that didn't work out well.

Maybe a better story at the Vears than at the Raiders i feel. They have a good D, good QB and playmakers. But more stability there. At Raiders, with zero talent/QB/D it could be ugly for him for a year or two and then players hating his personality (say) and then Davis having to press reset yet again

My main concern with Johnson is how does he goes without the best oline in football and oodles of talent at skill positions. Raiders have Bowers, Miller and Meyers to build around Detroit has 3 times the amount of talent of offense.

He'd only beaten one team over .500 until the playoffs and that was eagles with concussed hurts. Had me thinking me he was flat track bully but when he played the good teams he came up short. Glad to be proven wrong.

Plus it was long term evaluation but that was before bears ****ed around with their coaching search.

Coaching matters let see if daniels continues this if kliff gets a head coaching job.

I was right at least too. Had Daniels the best QB in this draft class.
On saying that....i thought williams showed up well his rookie season given all the problems of play caller, OC, and OL...went a long stretch not turning the ball over etc.

Maye is good too and Penix looks good. Nix is a beast. So McCarthy could too when he finally plays. And of course the Joe Milton train will happen eventually. Tanner McKee turning heads too.

Overall, dont think any QB needy teams would be upset with the QB they got, theyll all be cashing in their chips. Only Raiders missed out on QB but ended up with the total stud thst is Brock Bowers so not all bad either.
