Looking at the Vikings record, they haven't beaten a whole lot. Texans/Packers were good wins but there's a lot of shit teams in there. Opponents combined record is 80-100

Last two weeks of the season will give us a much better idea of where they're at.

They've also won a lot of close games, exactly like what happened two years ago when they lost to Daniel Jones in the first round of the playoffs. (I think their defense is better this year than that year but still, dont fully trust them)

Was surprised to see them scheduled against 3 AFC South teams in a row. Can't imagine that would happen often.

But yes, agreed. Really looking forward to seeing them challenged more.

I think our record has looked even softer perhaps.

So just ignore what I said, doesn't suit my narrative anymore.

Most of my concerns with the Eagles are on the sidelines. It doesnt feel like they fixed what happened lastyear which caused the on field issues. They look more like a team who is fighting to stay alive not a team who is going to finish 15-2

Good on them for showing they can win without a big game for Barkley and did it against a team with a pulse.
Just about all the losses for the 10+ win teams in the NFC are to teams who are going to make the playoffs. Even 8-6 Tampa have wins over the Lions and Eagles. and the Rams have wins over Bills and Vikings with 1 score loss to Packers and Lions.

Thats why i dont thing its a foregone conclusion that the NFC is done. anyone of them can have one thing go their way and have it be massive in the game. and lets not pretend the Refs are not capable of making a bad call or missing even worse ones look at all the facemasks missed that have helped decide games. a bad flag or missed call or a drop or blown assignment can decide the games.

The Bills i am buying into because i feel they will get a few players back but most important they dont have Diggs being a toxic distraction on the sideline this season.

Perhaps i put too much value in needless distractions but its hurt so many teams in the last few years. so i lean towards calmer teams.

I won't buy into the bills until i see them perform in the playoffs.
Chiefs are still my favourite to win it all, and it shall be so until I see a team knock them out of the playoffs.

We made massive changes though. Last year we fired a defensive coordinator mid season, replaced him with Matt Patricia, and completely collapsed defensively. This year we've got an elite coordinator and the best defence in football.

Our loss to the Bucs was without AJ Brown and Devonta Smith in a heatwave where our defense got trapped on the field, our loss to the Falcons was a drop at the exact wrong moment.

We've comfortably handled the Packers, the Commanders, the Rams, The Ravens, and the Steelers.

I mean, yeah, we might not make the champs game, crazy things happen in sports. But if it does it absolutely won't be because there's nothing separating the playoff teams in the NFC.

Just so im getting this right. if you dont win the NFC it wont be because a better team beat you or that there are other teams as good as you. Or is it just the Lions who you are on the same level as and everyone else it would be losing to a worse team.

im not going to keep going on and talk about the other stuff. just want this one thing cleared up so there can be no more debate.

It's a sport where every game has a chance of an upset. That doesn't mean every team is equal.

You're being a massive Packers homer and keep running this narrative that they're the same tier as the teams that they're collectively 0-4 against. Just refusing to accept the repeated results of games because there's a chance you'll get another rematch doesn't make teams equal.

If we lose to you in the playoffs, we'll have lost to a team which has been demonstrably worse over the course of the year. That would be bad.

This isnt about the Packers. i think we would need a lot of luck for us to win a ring this season. and we havent had that much good luck this season so far. but i dont think we will be easy beats. I dont think any of the 10 win teams will be an easy beat.

"demonstrably" worse. Packers must be the worst 10 win team in the history of the league. I wonder if we would have any extra wins having a bottom 10 strength of schedule rather then a top 5.

No wonder why eagles fans dont like the ESPN rankings where they had Packers over the eagles. much suck to have 2 extra wins but be ranked lower then this demonstrably worse team. and if the eagles lost to the Packers in the playoffs it must be worse then when that no good 9ers team beat you in the NFC CG a few years ago that lead to weeks of through provoking discourse on the forum.

I guess its my fault for using the word even and not meaning it literally but more figuratively in sense that a group of the 10 win NFC teams could beat any of the others in the playoffs.
So yes that is 100% my bad. and unintended that the 5 or 6 teams were "even". for the remainder of the season i will try and other words to describe my view that those teams could beat eachother on any given day because i dont see a large gap between them.

A Vikings v Chiefs Super Bowl would be fantastic wouldn't it..

Josh Allen playing like a Madden 25 cheat code.

Surely teams are already planning on how to stop him in the playoffs.

What's more dangerous. Letting him sit back and pass all game or trying to blitz and risk letting him run all over you.

Intriguing times ahead.

Allen has just about locked up the MVP after the last 3 weeks. and with Pats twice and the Jets he can just ad some MVP highlights with more crazy plays

Bragging about 'espn rankings' to a fan of a team which is seeded higher than you and which beat you head to head is quality :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Aint nobody stopping the Eagles in the NFC playoffs. They have offensive and defensive weapons galore. Lions decimated by injuries on D will cruel them when it matters. Vikings probably now favorites to meet them in the NFCCG tho maybe the Bucs are a sneaky sleeper.

AFC....Bills, Chiefs, Ravens seem likely

Imagine a Bills vs Vikings SB. Two 0-4 teams. One gets to celebrate a win finally, the other seemingly a perennial loser :(

Two teams desperately trying to make sure the other team has the 'kick it and win' field goal attempt

that bit wasnt aimed at you. but boy am i glad you chomped down on it.

its ok i understand now. Packers and some of the other teams dont belong in the same sentence and the all conquering eagles. Ive felt that obnoxious entering the playoffs with just 2 or 3 losses before, so i can sympathize with the feeling teams are not even close to the same level.

The eagles are a good team, so good that they are out preforming the toddler at head coach from tanking the season. and if you can keep it together for another 8 weeks good job. Because i see the combustible personalities as the biggest hurdle for the team right now.

My cards will sneak into the playoffs and destroy all the teams in the nfc😂😂😂.

But seriously, I am still not sold on hurts. I think he is prone to having a 2-3 int game when the whips get cracking in the playoffs.

No bullshit though, you don't belong in the same sentence as contenders while having a 0-4 record against the other top three teams in the conference. It's insanely arrogant to keep demanding that people list you there when you keep losing the games.

I also just love how focused you are on the packers when i havent been talking about them, just a group of teams including them. if the Vikings beat us again in 2 weeks ill remove us from that group [interestingly the vikings game is the one that felt lest like a contest in our 4 losses]

you are acting like they have been blowout losses, while making excuses for the Eagles 2 losses . i dont think this is our year anyway, but feel like we could beat anyone in the NFC playoffs and have it a 1 score game late with a high chance of last team with a full possession wins or have it decided in OT.

Im sorry, i would love you to point at my demands. I would happily retract any demands i have made because i dont recall making any.

And yeah the Packers have lost 4 games, but you can only play who is on your schedule not like the Packers havent feasted on bad teams in the division before for extra wins.

But hey. its just pair of campaigners having a differing opinions and wasting time. when neither are going to budge. Its not the first time or the last time it will occur. Simply because i dont think the eagles are the only good team in the NFC and you are of the view the think the packers are not a good team.

Go Bucs for me. (Don't think their defense is good enough however, been slaughtered all year apart from today)
