harmes and hustwaite annoying me not being in my team. wilson cadman and wehr are the other rookies im keen on.

Had a quick look in here, only having 1, one, ONE Only North player in my team, so not much point staying.

Alright fellas, have at it. Managed to squeeze in 13 premos (inc. Flanders). Only have $2.4k in the bank. Think it's a fairly well balanced team, but I still don't feel completely comfortable with it...

Back to the drawing board and several PODs added. Going cheap in my backline. Coleman/Campbell to be upgraded to Naicos shortly after his bye.

D'ambrosio/Z.Williams are interchangeable just about. Likely wont go with Williams because of his early bye and obviously his pre season.

Sheldrick comes into contention with Parker out injured.

Rowan comes in for Grundy given i have the cash spare and i'm committing to Campbell & Sheldrick so i don't want another round 0 player.

Forwardline likely wont change. Flanders and Harmes are locked in. Fyfe is about 97-98% likely to be in my team. Rookies may change a little depending on team sheets obviously.

I like your backline a lot. Midfield looks good too, although personally my preference is to start Bont. With Butters, LDU, Serong & Parish you do have lots of captaincy options though which is good.

Forwardline looks good too although i think i prefer having Harmes at F3 and then rookies. That said, there should be plenty of rookies to accommodate 4 on field, its just a matter of picking the right ones!

Price, mainly. If they were the same price id go Wardlaw. Sheldrick showed potential last season though. Scored very well in the games where he wasnt sub affected and with Parker (& Mills) out i think they will rotate him on ball quite frequently.

Going by a couple of rules of thumb
1. "having a good D4 M6 and F4"
Happy for McKercher to be my M6
Yeo and Fyfe are injury prone but both are good and great to watch, so I'm happy to roll with them.
2. "A high percentage of breakout midfielders come from the 550,000 - 600,000 range",
It's a bit of a lottery so many to choose from went with Anderson which zeroed out my bank balance, a bit of an omen there I rekon.

Thoughts on my team below? I have $150k in the bank and playing around with Xerri as second ruck (previously had Gawn). I will continue to tinker with rookies until R1, but the forward line is giving me headaches. I am not sold on any of the forwards over $500k, so backing mid pricers and rookies at this stage.

Not a lot of chat on Zac Williams? Did he play over the weekend??

Been playing around with the structure for a while and landed on this for now:

- With the byes D5/6 only need to be played for 2 of the first 6 weeks, happy to take the scoring hit for 2 games to boost elsewhere

- Think Trac and Bont may be 5 pts clear this yr, happy to pay up and not chase later. Allows me to bring in underpriced mids later and not have to force these guys in. Think Trac offsets the bye with elite durability, no CBA downside, gun PS and and right age. Bye is only worth 2ppg avge he covers that imo

- 200>300K fwds obvs present value but also a bunch of get out options if things head south. Not locked yet, still Powell, JJ etc options depending on this week and Rd 0

- A lot of premo bye players. 4 of them are in 45% or more teams so no issue. Touk and Trac the extras but as per above the bye is worth ~2ppg avge and I think they both cover.

Until it all changes after this weeks games......
