For a coach that is supposedly stubborn, conservative and has favourites, some nice tweaks of late

Williams at HF, and no, not a wingman. Cincotta forward and a negating role on Miller. Cowan in over Marchbank
Sure helps when you have enough magnets at your disposal to make strategic changes.

Most solid/consistent game I’ve seen from us in a long time.

Longer term view from today.
Pitto has been fantastic but I would be playing TDK as the sole ruck for atleast a couple of months. The upside is worth the poor performances along the way. If Williams can become a half decent forward then that’ll be huge for us later in the year.

Oodles to like last 10 minutes aside.

Cripps defends the heavyweight belt again without raising a sweat.

TDK's best game so far.

Williams valuable cameo shows we don't need to be playing multiple specialist small forwards just cos.

Harry and CC worked into it.

The defensive unit gelled well. Weiters super again but these knocks must be adding up.

Further growth from Cowan and Kemp. Cowan has poise despite the unsettling Bower like gait.

Walsh and Ollie ate up the kilometres...Ollie with a judiciously added 5kg of muscle would be a sight.

Kennedy been a hugely valuable Magyver the last few weeks.

Good win, no injuries…
Nice spread of players today with great performances…
The youngsters in Kemp Ollie Elijah Cowan all contributed well…
Emphasis on moving the ball at every chance was much better, our defenders got more involved with offering running options…
Allowed them some far too easy chances and goals at times, we still need to tighten things up defensively…
Wasted our chances up forward with poor conversion as well as poor F50 entries, an ongoing problem…
Go Baggers 👍

Agreed. Was pleasantly surprised seeing Williams and Cincotta starting forward. Fantasia rotating onto the wing.

Obvious focus on overlap running and uncontested possessions. Didn't get trapped in back 50 as much.

We have to persist with Kempy, bringing Marchy back for 3 games before he gets injured again is not worth interrupting Kemp's continuity. He will be a mainstay in this side if fit and healthy.
Unless we get injuries, Marchbank should be in the 2s. I don't see what others see in him. Looks slow, average kick and makes plenty of errors.

Solid win. Was great being there, great atmosphere. We played a blinding 20 minutes then let a few soft goals get in which was frustrating.

TDK huge, Cripps in beast mode and owned Rowell. Kemp was brilliant as was Newman. Williams stays forward and Fog just makes a world of difference.

Shout out to Mac Andrew he was everywhere in the first half. Going to be a gun.

Bald umpire 27 needs to be investigated, he must be on the take. He was dreadful.

Kemp played his best game today is now a lock.

Cowan should just stay in the side after that performance.

I think our backline is settled now.

That was fun. Really enjoyed being at games like this

Yet to watch replay but I loved Williams at HF/mid (finally)
Cowan back in. Looked good as did Kemp. Concotta did his job
It’s still one ruck for me. TDK was awesome and McKay looked freer
Fogarty just hits the right spots. Motlop will make us better

A lot to like but it still says to me we need our best side out there to be a top 4 contender. If we do we can beat anyone

Had one poor quarter, and only because we thought Mac Andrew was playing for Carlton (which would be nice by the way).

Never drop Mooooo again. As tough as nails and never takes a step back.

Also, Cinc as a run with player is perfect. Didn’t get much of it, but he blanketed Miller outside of centre bounces. Would love to see him do the same against Butters next week.

As for Zac - doesn’t mind a snag.

One passage of play in the third where Cowan did some great work in tight. I can see why we think he might be a midfielder.
I actually think that might be his go. I’ve got to say I didn’t love his game in the backline today. At times he looked like he’d never played there before. I’m still bullish on him on the whole though. As someone mentioned on Thursday night he could become our Ed Richards who’s gone into the Dogs midfield and looked good.

Did they to see much of the game unfortunately. Did a fair bit of work around the house which was much needed but looks like a nice solid victory?

How did Orazio go? Any better? Constructive answers please
