Of course Charlie Dixon is back after being ‘managed’ last week.

Apparently has a pre arranged schedule for the season when he plays and when he has a rest.

I was hoping Anastasopoulos would play for them.

Not biased at all -but he’ll be the best player in the AFL soon. I thought the same about Jimmy Toumpas and I am never wrong about these things.

We still a chance at Albert Proud?

I can't believe Cripps reaches 200 games in 5 matches.

Feels like only yesterday I remember him debuting as a young oversized dude getting used to his body, practically tripping over himself.

Port have 3 tall defenders, 4 tall forwards (or guys who play tall), and their ruck.

Carlton have 3 tall defenders (or guys who play tall), 2 tall forwards and our ruck.

This time they go in with an extra tall, or one of their forwards is playing another role potentially.

Weitering on Dixon, Kemp on Marshall, Gov on Finlayson/Georgiades because they are the ones most likely to be getting up the ground where Gov likes to be. Maybe one of these guys will be the sub? If all 4 play, then Cowan will take the leftover of the 4.

I would have thought Ratugolea on McKay, Zerk-Thatcher on Curnow, with Allir leaving his man to intercept as much as possible. However, a smart coach would go to school on what Mac Andrew was doing with Charlie last week, and play the more athletic Aliir on him, which means the likes of Elijah Hollands or Matt Kennedy might get the BZT mismatch.

Cripps vs Wines head to head looks tantalising. Cincotta has been named on ball, and I think he's going to run with Butters or Horne-Francis. Drew has been named on a wing, but I think he will watch Walsh closely.

Port aren't as quick as Sydney by foot, but they do move the ball quickly. I'm not seeing this as being a game where they run around or past us though.

Fogarty could play a defensive forward role on Dan Houston who could cut us up with his foot skills if he gets enough of it.

On paper, we possess the ball more than Port do. On the surface you'd say that they go long and direct to that forward line, but theoretically we should be and appear to be using the eye test, but we do average more possessions on average per player selected so it might be that we play more tempo footy when required.

You can almost see him having his game of the season tomorrow night.

Something whacky will happen, no doubt. Drew will keep Walsh to 18 disposals, or Finlayson will kick 6, or Allir will keep Charlie to 1.4. There is always an anomaly like that. Last week, we provided the anomaly with Williams kicking 4. We just have to come out on the positive side of the anomaly ledger.
