Our slower mids won't be as successful muscling the contests. Think the interpretation will be more subtle than people think though, avoid the 360's, still have to give the player some time to dispose, and more time than the crowd always wants.
Yes you’d hope arms free wheeling around in the tackle will be OK.

More the Charlie version of an arm pinned would be called to protect the tackled player, specifically their knees.

Love that we go in unchanged (pending a late one).

  • potent forward line with capability in the air & on the ground.
  • midfield with pinch hitters to match them.
  • backline very strong.
  • one ruck with H getting up.
  • strong transition & clearance game.

Wet weather looking for a very strong game in the middle, smalls wheeling & dealing, pressure frenzy - play in front!

This is a big test tonight. Will show us where we really are in the pecking order.

Form against (current) top 8 sides this year:
Giants ✅
Cats ❌
Collingwood ❌
Melbourne ✅
Sydney ❌❌
Port Adelaide ❔

If we go 2-4 against top 8 sides after tonight's match, it probably (unfortunately) tells us where we're at.

We’ve beaten 9th and 10th too. While having one of the worst injury lists in the comp, and have played the team on top of the ladder 3 times in the last 5 weeks. Think it’s worth adding a bit more context than just “the top 8 at teams at the moment”, and making a sweeping judgement of where we are at based on just that

Agree i t was point the Prendercast guys made. We seem to have copped the top teams at their best e.g. Geelong in red-hot form even Richmond in R1 before the wheels completely fell of.
