I’m gonna say something extremely controversial because at my absolute kindest, he was a 3/10 today, but, I would persist with Cerra at half back…
He is a point of difference field kick and can set up the play for us.

Give north some credit though; they’ve got some scruffy good kids, and yes they fluked 14.4 but I’ll give them a pat on the head considering they play with 0 pressure as a bottom of the table team does without anything to play for.

That was absolutely putrid. We have no business sitting second in our current form. Without a few lucky free kicks we might have lost to the second bottom team.
What has happened to Walsh? Cerra is an absolute liability as well. That was as good as another loss. We play like that the next few weeks we will lose comfortably.

Was a bundle of nerves for most of the match. First half was quite poor.

Cripps gets the 3 votes for mine. Historically, someone in a losing team has to be significantly better to steal the votes. Sheezel though.. what a damn good player. He’s an absolute jet.
Was ugly, but the intensity in the 2nd half was much better than the last 2 games

Said I'd take a 1 point win.. so will take it. But that was more on North not being North of the last few years of recent times, they're no easy beats now. I still have grave concerns over our inability to play 4 quarters and show stuff all intent for large patches of games.

The mids are a shadow of their dominant selves, though they worked their way back in the second half.
The skill level has dropped off. Kicks that were lace out are now forcing the leader to stop and wait, fumbles are commonplace.
The MC decision to go with Durdin who clearly wasn’t right is a head scratcher. I’ve been really impressed with his vfl form but he was set up to fail today.
Ollie is the other one for me. Worked really hard as always, his first half was one of his better for the year so far, then the second half happened. Awful decision making and kicking was off again.
On a positive note, Carroll was quite good, Fog was absolutely terrific, Hewett was well worthy of his spot and Saad was as good as we’ve seen this year.
