Poor. Missed way too many tackles, clangers and didn’t go numerous times when he had the chance. Not to mention his opening ran off him all night
I don't see it often enough with cunners - biggest tease in our side

He is either injured or when he is playing he does a few good things whilst going missing a lot as well.

I’ve said it heaps with Cuningham. Watch him train and he looks a star. Very classy. Some things he does in games excites. BUT watch him closely and he is a conditional footballer and goes missing way way to often and sadly we have a few of these footballers

He’s 27 with 10 years in the system. He needs to be better now

If we want to be a Premiership side we need to start being tougher and expect more from our players

Not a chance Cuningham goes out. Thought he was solid last night, and looked dangerous just about every time he touched it. 3 goal assists too
Cuners did ok, bit rusty. Will be better for the run. Would like to see him more at half-forward, has pace and evasiveness. Knows how to kick a goal.
My outs are Young, Williams, Fanta, Durds.
In McGov, Kemp, Moir, Wilson.

Have a look at what his opponent did, how many tackles he missed, how many times he ran away from a contest and his clangers

Ins: Gov, Martin, Kemp

Outs: Young Fantasia, Williams

Also..I don’t need to tell anyone in here that Williams, Marchy, Martin, Cunners and to a lesser extent Gov have all been hideously injury prone, particularly with soft tissue injuries over the past 3 years and whilst we are now being far more conservative with our management (both in terms of weekly loads and how quickly they return from injury) vs previous years…… it’s still not working. So as ridiculous as this sounds I think this collective group, in particular Williams and Martin could benefit from a game off every 5 weeks to see if it makes a difference. Watching Williams the past 2-3 weeks he’s had a little in game niggle each week and you get the feeling he’s an inch away from a 4-6 week injury so I’d love to see us be a little more open to managing these guys in a different way because the status quo ain’t working.

Yep but from yesterday’s team, start with Cottrell, Fantasia, Hewitt and work your way from there. Not good enough or enough output from these 3. Cuningham was rushed back and now that’s on the coaches - must be given time to find his feet, same for Durdin. You cannot bring players who have missed months and then expect them to hit the ground running form day dot.

It is not a question if cunners has fulfilled his potential. He was good last night. It is his position in the team v his peers. Cunningham last night was levels above 4 players in similar positions: durdin, famtasia, cincotta, cerra. Cunners in the best 22 is symbolic of a list that can not win a flag

Why not? Walsh walks in after 6 weeks and dominates.

I am really tired of excuses for average players

I want to see

B: Boyd Durdin McGovern
HB: Cincotta Weitering Newman
C: Acres Cripps Cerra
HF: Elijah McKay Cottrell
F: Charlie TDK Owies
Foll: Pittonet Kennedy Walsh
Int: Cowan Martin Williams Hewett
Sub: Cuningham

Williams around middle/HF
Ripping team.

Why not try Williams forward/pinch mid?

Probably only the wait on Saad holding him back.

Assuming Martin and Gov are available but no Mots and Marchy:
Boyd, Weitering, Kemp
Newman, McGovern, Cowan
Acres, Cripps, Cottrell
Cuningham, McKay, Martin
E Hollands, Curnow, Owies
Pittonet, Walsh, Cerra
TDK, Hewett, Cincotta, Kennedy
Durdin (sub)
Out: Young, Fantasia (both omitted), Williams (omitted/injured)
In: McGovern, Martin, Kemp

Thursday can't come quickly enough - time for the boys to respond. Pressure and intensity has been way off the last couple of weeks - that needs to lift. Hopefully get Gov and Martin back and let's put up a big performance against a very strong team in Melbourne
