That's right, they all hate us. It's why we're number 1 in the free kick differential table.

There is a major difference between free kicks to advantage or detrement... We get free kicks paid when we already have marked the ball, or to bring us back behind the mark. Were trying to play on but called back to kick over the mark just because

Reckon the umpire thing is way overblown. Every time #22 gets mentioned I watch for him during the game and he's never meaningfully different to any of the others. Must have been one or two bad games a while back and now the narrative is set in concrete.

He’s been serviceable recently, deadset cheat in many games against us though.

Freo fans also think he’s a cheat, so not just Carlton

Stevic is a good umpire though, so evens itself out I suppose

No points for guessing that we're going to play compact and largely through the corridor...

Wonder if we'll go 5 forwards with with a tall continuously presenting on the wing when we don't have the ball? Wing setup continues to be concerning, doubly so if Hollands doesn't come back fresh.

Guessing they had to pick one of Martin and Cuningham.

Not really liking all the hate on here for Williams. We should support our players not bag them, he’s had a rough 12 months.

I think he was going well until he got injured v GWS.

Then he has a couple of bad games and people are making out he’s been shit the whole time, and linking it to their frustration with his injuries.

He also played well in the games he played 2022 as well, and was fine later in 2021 after we stopped trying to pretend he was a full time midfielder.

Looking for the defence to up their game this weekend and stop the down the wings movement.

They need to take the game on a bit more with overlap run which will help the midfielders use the corridor. Right now most of our defenders are in self preservation mode.

Really hasnt helped those injuries and resorting to second choice.

Kingy on afl360 showed heaps of vision of us being unclean below our knees. If we clean that up we can get heaps more territory compared to the last two weeks. Glaringly obvious issues at ground level.
Against the Pies? Whilst no excuse, the dew at the ‘G for night games over the last couple of weeks has made the ball like a cake of soap.
The Geelong Melbourne match was very similar.
From my perspective “expert analysis” for the most part is goldfish inspired TV filler.
In saying that you could see Vossy’s frustration around over possessing the football and not getting it forward last week.
Makes easier to be clean if your handballs hit a chest or hands rather than the ground or ankles like they did last week. Couldn’t believe how poor we were by hand.

Expecting Durdin as sub.
Don’t want any of the other 4 (Hewitt, Cerra, Cottrell, Boyd) as subs.
Thought we missed a trick in having Kennedy as sub last week.

Martin gives us an option where defenders are drawn away or when our players lower their eyes.

McGovern improves our defence and transition out of defence.

Like that we are getting games into Cowan.

Dropping players to VFL for a week and then back in … Kemp and Ollie H … not ideal.

Do we all think the pecking order for small forwards is:
Motlop, Fogarty, Owies, Durdin, Fantasia ?

Durds needs a fire lit underneath him. He lacks urgency. I believe he has the goods to make it (speed and skill) and doesn't appear to shirk contests but just doesn't get to enough of them. Show us what you're capable of Durds. Please.
Give him a tackle commission target…

Not paid unless he gets 5 tackles per qtr!

Every tackle above 5 he gets $1000 bonus :)

Major defensive lapses and not going when he had the chance on several occasions not to mention simple turnovers
durdin was far far worse. Cunners at least gets into position to make plays. Even if he didn't end up making them first game back. Durds sits next to security until the balls in deep F50 chatting and drinking tea

Playing with tension causes fumbles and bad decision making. They gotta just 'play' and not try too hard
