SHeezel missing out. Mass missing the wing. Xerri missing out for Gawn. Jezza getting in on his name.

These are not that controversial, its subjective after all.

But Waterman as a forward?!! You have to laugh really. He has been bog average since the bye. Absolutely baffling
20 goals in 9 games. I wouldn't call that bog average considering the Eagles were far worse after the bye. Allen also came into the side.

The selectors actually selected two wingmen last year with Gulden and J. Daicos.

If they're going to pick the best players based on their position, then D'Ambrosio should've been the other one.

McClugagge was one of the better wingers in the competition and made the squad for four years in a row from 2019-2022, and never made the team.

McGovern deserves his spot, has been fantastic this season in a poor team. Waterman is a curious choice but I presume it had more to do with how good a season he's had compared to his average. He has improved out of sight.
Begs the question, should we have a Most Improved Player award?

McGovern was a clear choice for 3rd tall, shouldnt have had any competition. Andrews was a walk up for KPD and somehow didnt get it.

7 years between AAs - is that a record?

Hope someone has this stat, would be interesting

Going back through the sides a little bit

Some I found were: Naitanui (8yrs, 2012-2020), Hawkins (7yrs, 2012-2019), Richardson (9yrs, 1999-2008)

I'm sure there is got to be some real long ones though
