do you have access to the full article about the twi Irish guys?
Fremantle have little time to prepare for some derby vengeance as they come off a six-day break before taking on arch-rivals West Coast. Here’s what we saw at training on Wednesday morning...
Fresh Faces
Fans were left perplexed by two players without numbers on their guernseys running around at Cockburn during the main session.
And while they’re not officially Dockers yet, Irish AFL hopefuls UItan Kelm and Eoin McElholm will be hoping they caught the eye.
Kelm was set to join the Dockers in late 2021 as a Category B Rookie but a hip injury ended his career in Australia before it even started.
There were reports in Ireland that he was set for a try-out again at Fremantle so there was no surprise to see the speedster on the track.
But there was interest in his countryman Eoin McElholm who is also hoping to become the latest Irishman to play in the AFL.
McElholm, 19, was in Australia in October as part of an initial trial and attended the AFL grand final with fellow Tyrone product Conor McKenna
The teenager is a rising star in Gaelic football, playing a pivotal part in Tyrone winning their second All Ireland Under-20 title in three seasons.
There was plenty of encouragement from the Dockers players every time one of them got the footy as they try to adjust to the game.
Both Kelm and McElholm are set to trial for a fortnight at the Dockers.
Moose Spotting
Fremantle captain Alex Pearce is set to have another surgery on a broken arm this week, but he’s determined to get around his in-form side.
As the rest of his teammates hit the track, Pearce worked hard on the exercise bike while watching on.
Sporting a big cast on his right, Pearce seemed to be in good spirits as he hopes to make a return for finals.
There were more positive signs from some of his injured teammates, with fellow defender Oscar McDonald continuing to work his way back after sustaining a knee injury he sustained in his Dockers’ debut.
Midfielder Neil Erasmus also looks good to go after missing the past few weeks with a concussion, with the young star on track to return for Peel Thunder when they take on Perth this weekend
.

Jasus. Who wrote that training article. So Pearce was sporting a big cast on his right. So two broken arms now.
Erasmus has been out for several weeks with concussion apparently. Could have sworn his concussion was a couple of weeks ago.
Never the less it was good to here that the Irish were actually here.

The Ultan of Swing!
Fair guess that our talent spotters rate Kelm pretty highly, to keep in touch these past 4 years!
In Walls We Trust (IWWT)!
Exciting.

“They wore the same (retro) guernsey last weekend as part of retro round”

1: There is no retro round, teams simply pick and choose when to do it.

2: No we ****ing didn’t. We wore our clash jumper (white with purple chevrons). We did wear a very similar retro jumper against the Bombers in Melbourne. But it was at a different stadium … and in 2019. So almost Mitchell

He can at least try to pretend he watches our games

We only wear the retros at home

Unless I accidentally flew to Melbourne to see Ballas get chaired off by Sandi in 2019
