They hacked our players in wvery marking contest and nothing but esava has had 2 frees in marking contests where there was absolutely nothing in it. That sort of shit umpiring bias changes how players need to defend and attack. And the htb decisions have been based on two different sets of rules. Absolute garbage.

The good thing is port are shit and only managed 2 goals with all that advantage. We can and should win this from here if we can cut out some poor decision making and settle into our system. Our pressure was decent. Just need to connect a bit better.

They won't play much better than this particularly defensively we just need to stay within striking distance and start to play our way. It will turn but only if we play the way we have been. Well they brought the heat, thank god for Scrimshaw, Hardwick and Serong. The defence holding up has stopped that quarter being a blow out.

Bad news - we got hammered in contested possession, possession and inside 50s. Opposition pressured us like a team hell bent on making up for last week.

Good news - minimal damage. Trailing by 2 goals. Serong has stood up well and they will tire sooner than us.

We will push through this and start to get our connection through work rate and system in the next quarter.

I cant help but think about the fools in the preview thread talking about Port being shot and us blitzing them as thought they got second spot by accident. Complacency was always going to be the biggest risk in this game. I just hope that can absorb this pressure without losing touch before they tire and can get back to our game plan.
