Very small world indeed! I couldn't believe it when she got interviewed, haven't seen her for a very long time but always remember a face, and she had a huge impact on me as a young kid. If you told her the story I mentioned the other week, of the young kid at Carnegie Primary in 1996 constantly talking about the Saints, I'm sure she'd click onto it...or so I'd hope lol.

I shared the interview with my mother who still remembers her...we got a kick out of it haha. Great stuff!
I'll bounce your story off her tomorrow at training.

I'm sure she'd remember you....especially if it's Saints related.

She's always talking about past pupils/experiences.

Memory wise....put it this way.....I'd hate to be in a police line up and Gayle is on the other side of the glass.

:)

Oh if she's always talking about past pupils I would hope I'm top of that list 😂 wasn't a week that went by where I wouldn't be talking about how the Saints went, who kicked the goals, who was BOG, etc etc 😂😂

I lived 5 minutes from the school back in those days, and on the morning of the 97 Grand Final she knocked on our front door and gave me a GF themed rain jacket. I'm absolutely positive she'll remember that so if it doesn't click for her initially, that'll get her for sure. Let her know I'll be coming down to say hello one of these days 😍

What a great story........

I'll let her know that you'll be down to see her at a training session somewhere down the track.

You're doing God's work Watto 🙌🏻

Must have been a slow news day.

I'm tipping the segment rated it's pants off !!!!
Not only does this group give RTB some sage advice, they’re also quite prepared to query how Sharman is tracking with the lad’s personal coach.

She'd love to see you George.

We are very fortunate to have Gayle in the group.

She's great to have a yak with and she loves a coffee.

Amazing that you know her and as you said the other day.....what a small world.

And I'll tell you one thing....she keeps us guys in line.

Any bad behaviour...........look out !!!!!
We keep her in line too..don’t worry about that!! 😘

St Kilda

Club champion: Jack Sinclair
Breakout player: Mattaes Phillipou

Point to prove: Hunter Clark

Biggest early challenge: We will learn plenty about the 2024 Saints in 50–50 battles with Geelong and Essendon in the opening three rounds. Two losses could point to a tough campaign.

Pressure rating: 8

Record through round five: 1-4
Compelling cases can be made for and against the Saints making September again, and they are one of the tougher teams to read entering the season.

Ross Lyon has a strong track record and that counts for plenty. Max King, Sinclair, Callum Wilkie, Rowan Marshall and Jack Steele, plus young guns Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Phillipou, also offer optimism.

But can Lyon get more out of the likes of Clark, Zak Jones and Tim Membrey?

Which one of Essendon and Richmond are they saying we'll lose to?

The trainee receptionist can get more out of Jones and Membrey if they are able to actually play football.

I'm guessing its both. I think they are giving us a win against Richmond and thats it.

George,

I have some good news......and I have some bad news.

Firstly.........

THE BAD NEWS:

Chatting to Gayle about you,she didn't have a clue who I was talking about.

Talk about a blank face.

THE GOOD NEWS:

The roast beef roll toastie today was awesome.

Only kidding George.......Gayle knew straight away who I was talking about.........she even rattled off your surname !!!!!!!

I didn't even have to mention your pre GF story of 1997 to jolt here memory.......I told it anyway and she remembers that oh so well.

Gayle said that generally, you were a quiet lad but mention the Saints....you'd arc right up....and up !!!!!

She's love to have a coffee with at training sometime.....she said there would be heaps to talk about.

If Jupiter crosses paths with Saturn.......Gayle may even shout the coffee's.

;)
